This question has bothered me for many years. Infact, I do not believe the story. It's what we have been fed with for over a decade. But who were the girls? Who saw them? How did they escape? I believe there's a lot truth concerning Abacha's death that's being hidden from the Nigerian people. Was he eliminated by some powerful Northern cabal? |

The gods of Yorubaland were angry at him for killing Yoruba folks. If he was not poisoned, he would have been struck by lightning. |

[b][size=14pt]Very unlikely Abacha would be entertaining prostitutes, this sounds like a story used to discredit him as the neo-colonialist like to do to great African leaders after overthrowing or assassinating them. Truth is that until Nigeria decides to carry out an enquiry it is likely to remain a mystery. What I do suspect is that it was a covert assassination sponsored by America's CIA and that Abacha's Chief Security Officer General Hamza Al Mustapha was some how involved in the plot to poison him; Probably whilst liaising with General Ibrahim B. Babangida (IBB) who is a relative of Abdulsalami Abubakar who immediately succeeded Abacha as head of state. The fact that Al Mustapha was first on the scene and that he was the key player in ensuring that the leadership was handed to IBB's cousin Abulsalami Abubakar, is enough for me to make him one of the chief suspects. The other suspects are obviously IBB and Abdulsalami Abubakar. The fact that the same Abdulsalami Abubakar (who was probably just a figure head taking instructions from IBB who was probably himself being instructed by America /CIA ) later threw Al Mustapha in prison just goes to prove that there is no honour amongst criminals.[/size][/b] 4 Likes 3 Shares |

Yes, indirectly though. One of the indian girls gave him a spiked viagra which he thought was to increase his 'action'... All said, he was killed by some Northern cabals. Judging from the most logical report I have read from. |

hmmm, The secrecy that shrouded that guys death is still a mystery only known to the perpetrators. One good thing i could remeber about Abacha was that there was constant light in Abuja during his tenure. Before NEPA takes light, they will announce on radio and afterwards, return light on schedule. People feared Abacha more than Satan himself If he was alive, there would be probably no Nairaland, twitter or Facebook in Nigeria. He does nt take insult from anybody. His spy men and intelligence network was best in Africa. There was this Egyptian woman by my neighbourhood with 9 daughters...that was the man's second home. Anytime he came arround that house at night, we are all prisoners in our own house, After seeing the family, he will play snooker at one Snooker board named after him...Easy going Ba kwomi man but takes no nonsense. As he was preparing for his election in 2007, you dare not stroll in Abuja city center anytime from 10pm...His boys will pick you and not just oyo is your case but ogbomosho. Woe be tide you if you are a woman strolling at night and they picked you, those boys will make a borehole in you.
