agaugust: So, scorpion jets are 4th generation fighters. |

patches689: Where did I say that? Nope. All photos show Bokos ZSU-23 on Toyota or odd types with NO marking of NA on it. Chad has been proved to be weapons source for Boko as well as Sudan and that proves what I said about Boko ZSU-23 looking odd . 1 Like |

mzilakazi: Show proof that those were damaged by NAF bombs, Boko and Nigerian army were using RPGs and Mortar artillery in those area. Show impeccable proof that it was NAF bombs not army or Boko shells that did the damage. . |

agaugust: Hawks differ in size and variant, but BMP-2 is a variant on its own that will not necessarily change. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 1:48pm On Nov 27, 2014 |
andrewza: BMP-2 has superior 5.5 km range 9M133 Kornet missiles, Ratel gets killed from distance . |

agaugust: If you cannot acknowledge the importance of flying hours in aviation industry, then I will suggest you drop this subject with immediate effect. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by mzilakazi(m): 1:57pm On Nov 27, 2014 |
agaugust: Kornet can only be fired from BMP-3, Lol!!! However, Ratel can also kill BMP-3 because it has advantage of speed and flexibility, less reaction time and versatility. |

patches689: I have my ATR-42 330km radar range source posted many times on this forum, I said even @Andrewza dare not challenge me. Now you have challenged me, post your own source and I promise to post mine again after yours, it's a battle between us, so I am challenging you to a fight, except you are afraid of me as usual, you tremble down to your boxers...Patrick the coward ! I got you into a big trap ! . |

patches689: Normal, even main battle tanks have far less armour on the sides and thicker armour on the front, check out most heavy tanks. Then the frontal BMP-2 protection is against 23mm not 20mm, the same 23mm will tear all SANDF Ratel and Badger IFV into pieces. You did't know that before you started writing garbage about BMP-2 armour. Fool ! http://www.armyrecognition.com/russia_russian_army_light_armoured_vehicle_uk/bmp-2_ifv_tracked_armoured_infantry_fighting_vehicle_data_sheet_specifications_pictures_video.html .

agaugust: You said Military website is the only valid information. SANDF website lists Ratel ZT3 as the only class of Ratel. You have used outside sources to say that we have more classes. Thus, you yourself confirm that the SANDF website is not the final say and that other sources must be considered. Thank you 1 Like |

agaugust: It shows that you didn't read the sources. Those houses were destroyed by straying bombs which fell from your fighter jets. The only mode of munition that your fighters can engage other than cannons. No PGMs and missiles, nothing. |

agaugust: Post your 330km range Why are you scared? |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by patches689: 2:54pm On Nov 27, 2014 |
agaugust: Side protection is only effective against 7.62 Meaning that Ratel will use superior mobility to catch the BMP-2 in enfilade fire and destroy it And btw, you said that it had all round protection against 23mm... you have been exposed. |

agaugust: Lame excuse |

agaugust: cool, but the Hawk is not our primary combat platform. Your F-7 is a copy of the Fishbed with *some* advanced electronics crammed inside of it. The airframe is still a 40+ year design. #Obsolete |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by patches689: 2:57pm On Nov 27, 2014 |
agaugust: Again, that is cool. But we want flight hours. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by patches689: 2:58pm On Nov 27, 2014 |
agaugust: Nope, equation unbalanced. A-darter is going into production. NAF is however stuck with F-7's with the only planned replacement being the sub-par Scorpion Jet |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by patches689: 2:59pm On Nov 27, 2014 |
agaugust: He is talking about penetration not range. |

agaugust: Nice. Pity Nigeria doesnt have any. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by patches689: 3:00pm On Nov 27, 2014 |
agaugust: Nope, F-7 doesnt stand a chance against a Jet that is a generation ahead of it. |

Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by patches689: 3:01pm On Nov 27, 2014 |
agaugust: Nope, you need to go through radio relay's meaning that information is outdated by the time it reaches the artillery. This is why real militarys buy data-link. Radio fire controll is 1940's tech |

agaugust: Badger is immune to RPG - as proven by Rosomak performance in Afghanistan Rooikat and Ratel will not explode like that due to superior ammunition storage systems. Russian equipment is not designed with survivability in mind. This is a well known fact |
