It's not like writing the test guarantees anything. Anyway sha, only you know that which you want most.

Thanks to everyone...I'm now planning on changing the date of the test. Thanks once again.

Sorry to digress a little, but can one change test centres? Cos my test centre is Lagos and I'd prefer to write in PH where I currently reside

Am finding it very hard to believe that you are even thinking of an option, when the only option for you here is to ignore the damn test and face your wedding squarely. My brother, you don't wonna look all confused on your wedding day, do you? The stress alone on the day of your wedding is enough to get you nuts, talk more of going to write one test that is being powered by our very corrupt government, you don't even have a clue of the crowd you're gonna have to deal with at the venue of the test, not sure if there would be stampede there...mtchewww....face your wedding, get settled as a married man and watch God's favour express itself. Afterall, more oppotunities abound for you in the future. To me, this is nothing but a distraction. Use your head.

Reschedule your test if possible.
You don't have to work with NNPC to be successful in life.

After the long awaited test invites for December 2012 NNPC graduate trainees, dem don slate the test for my wedding day. How can I leave my wedding to write test whose end may not be determined by competency? Anyway, it pains me cha.

He that finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtains favour from God, if u miss the test, God will still bless u in His own ways, remember His ways are not our ways, to bring us to an expected end,.

My brother teaching pay can neva equate that from oil. My advice is dat u tell d officiating ministers and mc to rush evrytin, adjust the time from 10 or 11 am to maybe 8 or 9am. The test is by 2:30pm so u shld finish evrytin and get 2 ur venue b4 dat tym. Lastly, snap only group pictures and leave the personal ones( couple pix) till later. Hope these help. Its beta u take d test and regret it than dont take and blow ur chance of getting a good job. Ur wife will understand

How feasible is changing the wedding date when invitation cards have been printed, people have been notified, arrangements have been made, hall/halls have been booked, payments have been made, flights have been booked, holidays have been booked BECAUSE you have a job test that the certainty level is 0.3( made up the value )

If the date can't be rescheduled, you might have to forgo it.
More opportunities will present themselves. Your wedding is a one off event. You should enjoy it.

I would advice that even though your wedding is in a week's time, just reschedule it and send text messages across to all, maybe till the next saturday. Attend your test. NNPC job is worth it. I am writing from experience, I am among the last employees that wrote in 2010.God's grace being abundant, I made it and I tell you it was more than 70% by merit, I DID NOT KNOW ANYBODY ON TOP. U might not be able to combine it unless you will forfeit the reception because even if they start late, they will also end late.Lastly, has anyone received his or her details yet?I think that is another thing to think about.

wat are u guys saying he sud do both or postpone his wedding for an aptitude test with over 500,000 applicants in a country where we all know only connections make the difference. my broda if u go for the test it will only be a waste of ur time, resources and energy cos the people NNPC wud recruit are already signing their employment letters, the test is just for formality. Enjoy ur wedding and congrats

Simply call and explain why you are unable to attend. A well organised company will definitely reschedule for you. What most prospective employee dont know is that no employer will invite you for an interview if they dont need you. Speaking from personal experience.

Go for the test and join dem at d wedding afta d test
Re: NNPC Don Fall My Hand Cha... by delors(m): 4:14pm On Nov 28, 2014
This isn't a question worth debating. If an employment test falls on your wedding day, by reasonable assessment, you set your wedding date long before you even applied to the job. That means you had the means and wherewithal to do the wedding without this particular job.
My verdict, the wedding takes priority by all means. Advise the employment examiners you have your wedding on the said date, if they are reasonable humans, and if the employment is based on your qualifications and on merit, they will reschedule the test for you or simply say, sorry, it's a standard arrangement beyond our control.

In the words of Hon. Pat Obahiagbon, "It will be lugubrious! It will be sardonic! And it will be a state of dismal pismal if you jeopardize your wedding for an employment test you are not sure of passing...Your wife and family will be flabberwhemed and overgasted... cheesy

What's the guarantee that writing the test/ attending the interview will get him the job? Plus he isn't the only one worried about that position, his chances of getting the job even if he goes for the test is 1/100. So why worry? U av somfin that's guaranteed before you (your wedding) so go for it, rather than chasing the wind.

What makes me funny? It's his call to attend to and I only advised based on what I believe is the best action particularly in our country where opportunities are very few.

I think it is a management trainee position so it is for green horns as such, experience isn't key in here and the company has nothing to lose not meeting him.
