Damaturu, the capital of Yobe state
has come under attacks by
suspected Boko Haram
insurgents, Daily Trust has learnt.
The Mobile Police base which is in the
outskirts of the town has reportedly
been burnt down by the rampaging
gunmen and are now advancing to
the main town of Damaturu.
The dawn raid started before the
morning prayers, Daily Trust learnt.
Our correspondent reports that
students of the Yobe state university
which is on the road from the mobile
base have now taken to the bushes in
different directions for safety.
