Dear APC: Brilliant Manifesto To Stylishly Embezzle Money Congrats by biafranqueen: 9:30am On Dec 01, 2014
Dear APC,

I read the manifesto, you tried your best I will say. You finally came up with one after how many years, but failed follow the promies with a pay plan. How will we pay for all the new programs ? I was not shocked to see the comments from the usual clowns in the upcoming circus. Some of you pointed out Fashola's achievement (which range from toll bridges to not driving in Lagos with siren undecided) You pointed at the development of Imo State (which only happen the first year he was in APGA, nothing since) to Rivers State (that one is just ridiculous embarassed)
Promises Without Plans! Yesterday mikeansy ask APC NL this:
Ok APC should show us the maths

Will they borrow money to pay for their programmes? Let them say so!

Will they raise taxes to pay for their programmes? They should also say so clearly.

The electorate needs to know these things in order to make an informed choice!

Basing you economic plan on digging up natural resources and unpredictable oil prices does not sound like a roadmap to me!

The days when people hoodwink Nigerians with platitudes are gone!

On social welfare scheme:

Little Maths update: Curlieweed showed us how much APC planed to pay people to sit at home below:

N5,000 X 25,000,000 = 125,000,000,000 ( that is 125 Billion Naira) or N1.5 Trillion annually. That means that an APC (edited) government (our ancestors forbid the abomination) will be using over 33% of the Federal Budget (caN4.5 billion) to pay people to sit at home doing nothing(edited) all.

Both of these potent and logical points were of course completely ignored by you APC NL. Yet and still we will give you another chance to show us A. Point out where APC Governors as you claimed have already started practicing all which is in the manifesto. B. How will you pay for the new welfare programs?
Thank you in advance for your time.

Best regards,

Biafran Queen

APC’s Roadmap for Social Housing includes:
◾ Achieve the construction of one million low-cost houses within
four years for the poor.
APC’s Roadmap for Affordable Housing Includes:
◾ Minimize income as a barrier for people to live in a safe and
affordable home, by increasing access to financing and
promoting a working national residential mortgage market as
a matter of urgency, so that Nigerians of varying income levels
can access affordable mortgages at single-digit interest rates
based on federal guarantees to the mortgage lenders.
This is what APC will come and tell us about this one
“Some people have criticised us that homes under our mortgage scheme are not low-cost, but these people cannot point to one place where our government promised to build low cost houses”.
Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State on Wednesday said he did not at anytime promise to provide low-cost housing for residents in the state.
Mr. Fashola spoke in Ikeja, the state capital, at the monthly draw for the allocation of homes to residents under the state Home Ownership Mortgage Scheme (Lagos HOMS) which produced another 76 beneficiaries.
He said that criticisms that homes, under the state’s mortgage scheme were not low-cost, were unfair, adding they aimed at discrediting the good intentions of the state government.
The governor said that his administration had always promised the provision of affordable housing for which home-seekers could pay conveniently over a period of time.
“Some people have criticised us that homes under our mortgage scheme are not low-cost, but these people cannot point to one place where our government promised to build low-cost houses.

APC’s Roadmap for Health Care Includes:
◾ Provide free quality comprehensive health care based on a national health
insurance scheme.
◾ Stop all travel abroad at government expense for the purpose of medical treatment.
◾ Encourage medical professionals to establish practices and work in rural and
medically underserved areas, by providing incentives including tuition and other
training reimbursement for such professionals.
◾ Provide incentives for Nigerian doctors and health practitioners working abroad to
return home, to strengthen the health care industry in Nigeria and provide quality
care to those who need it.
◾ Double the number of practicing physicians and health care professionals in Nigeria
and increase the quality of federal teaching hospitals to world-class standards.
Let us look at APC track record on education:

"Our visits round the Lagos State Model Colleges reveal that contrary to what the government of Babatunde Raji Fashola is claiming, the academic institutions located across the state are in total shambles.

"In the model schools, students are made to pay twenty-five thousand naira (N25, 000) per term as feeding allowance while government makes out for the tuition fee. Our investigation revealed that the quality of food being served is nothing to write home about and there is unnecessary delay in their feeding despite paying such amount as boarding fee as against the meagre N10, 000.00 paid in Federal Government Colleges where the boarders are not seen to be malnourished and are even given better delicacies when compared to what obtains in many of the Lagos State Model Colleges where the feeding quality and regimen are less than that of prison inmates."

Debo Adeniran, Executive Chairman of the group further said that: "Our investigation further revealed that only few textbooks are being distributed to some very few lucky students, even the branded exercise books are for sale. Cardigan, uniforms, stocks, plates for food, cup, insecticides, soap and cutlery are brunt to be borne by parents."

The group also alleged that the Model Colleges deviously impose levies on the students under array of guises. It said, "At the Lagos State Model College, Badagry, parents were asked to pay a sum of two thousand naira (N2, 000), for each student for security against possible invasion of the Boko Haram insurgents few weeks ago. With the recent kidnap of the 234 girls from the Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State and the attendant threat by the rampaging sect to persevere in their sordid act, parents' response to the payment was overwhelming. However, since the levy was paid in April, there was neither police presence nor a change in school security."

APC’s Roadmap for Social Welfare Includes:
◾ Implement a phased Social Security Benefits Scheme for the unemployed
and vulnerable, beginning with poor disabled and poor elderly citizens.
◾Direct conditional monthly cash transfers of NGN5,000 to the 25
million poorest and most vulnerable citizens upon demonstration of
children’s enrolment in school and immunization, to help promote job
empowerment.
◾ Alleviate the sufferings of pensioners in receiving their pensions by
ensuring that pensions are paid on time, and substituting long distance
travel and difficulties associated with going to Abuja or state capitals with
a procedure that brings both the verification and payment process to
Local Government Areas.
◾ Promote legislation and initiatives that protect vulnerable and disabled
people from discrimination and exploitation.

Once again Curliweed pointed out:
N5,000 X 25,000,000 = 125,000,000,000 ( that is 125 Billion Naira) or N1.5 Trillion annually. That means that an APC (edited) government (our ancestors forbid the abomination) will be using over 33% of the Federal Budget (caN4.5 billion) to pay people to sit at home doing nothing(edited

If other countries can get better and provide social welfare for vulnerable citizens, we can do it too.

Of course you will say such because even if you spent 10 hours studying you would never be able to refute or answer any of the above it is way over your head and your pay grade. Re: Dear APC: Brilliant Manifesto To Stylishly Embezzle Money Congrats by Nobody: 10:10am On Dec 01, 2014
Madam Biafra, you sound ridiculously pained and frustrated. An APC government will not encourage unemployment on the long run but will ONLY provide parliatives while creating jobs for the unemployed(which is what is obtainable in sane society). The 5000 stipends will not be an annual thing as the beneficiaries will drastically reduce in their numbers with time. The purpose is to put food on the table of the unemployed pending the time they are gainfully employed. In other words, it is saying "we are creating jobs for you, but we are to be giving you so and so until you get a job". This is commendable!

On Housing:
There is a difference between "low cost" housing and "affordable" housing. A premium housing could be affordable if the payment plan is friendly to the masses. The keyword is payment plan and not the real value of the property. This is what is obtained globally and its adopted and implemented by Lagos State government. You need to get books on mortgage.

On Education:
Both you and your concocted reports are fraud and liars for saying that books aren't enough. In fact, you should learn how to be a good propagandist. It is on record that Kano State under the leadership of Dr. Musa Rabiu Kwankwaso provides Free education and trainings at all levels, he even go further by sponsoring indigent students abroad and across the Best Schools in Nigeria. In fact, he built lots of academid and training institutions plus a foreign school in Niger to train students in french language in a french environment.

Affordable housing is defined as:
Affordable housing is housing deemed affordable to those with a median household income as rated by country, State (province), region government works closely with industry to ensure that properties being developed for sale are affordable for those on low-to-moderate incomes.
Do we agree on this definition My Dear Bar?

To start this off the application is N10,000 for the Lagos scheme according to the website, interest rate is 10 times that of the USA according to the bank mortgage calculator. The people of Badia slum where he knocked down thousands of home can mot afford your affordable rent and they are still homeless.

We are not only discussing "affordable housing" with respect to a one off fee, we are talking "affordable" housing with respect to mortgage. The question to ask is, how much is required to make a bid? What is the monthly/annual commitment of the beneficiaries to service the mortgage? Are these cost affordable to the low and mid income earners? Are these cost fair? These are the questions that needs to be answered.
With respect to "low cos housing" like it was done during Jakande's era, the cost of the flats were low and cheap that people could afford paying a one-off fee for it. But the quality of the house can't be compared to those of expatriates and senior officials of parastatals. The Fashola scheme seek to provide quality housing to the masses, but affordable as payment is on phases and on a long term. Anyway, let's answer the above questions first.

DelGardo:

According to Sanusi less than 1% of the population consume 25% of our budget. This road map will turn that equation around to provide a social support to the most needy, by plugging this waste. When you factor in stolen 100,000 barrels of crude per day one starts to get the real picture of today's weak budget numbers.

Besides the 25m people stated is the maximum planned, and, everything considered, implementation will likely be phased. So that by the time this limit is reached the economy will likely be bigger than current N4.5trillion budget. The other elements of the road map will also have a ripple effect of our economy... so stop using yesterday's (read PDP's) failed plans for tomorrow (read APC's) solutions.

In my view they should watch out because PDP will steal some of these ideas into their campaign lies... the road map might have been released too soon.
