Alutacontinua, so I'll be taking step 1 and 2CK next year.

I need you now more than ever. grin grin

I took step 1 earlier last year, I got 267 and also the step 2ck earlier this year and got 252. Am currently a 2nd year surgery resident in Nigeria and plan to do cardiothoracics if am opportuned to get a residency placement in US. Am almost due for part 1 and I have decided to take it before making arrangements to travel to US for the step 2 cs. The part 1 will give me a post-primaries exam exposure which is necessary to pass the step 2 cs.
Anyway, I wish you Goodluck in your step 1, there are some good websites you can download step 1 preparatory questions. I will also search for the ones I used and can E-mail them if you need them. We will conquer the American health industry.

Thanks boss.

Your scores are very inspiring. I am a 500 level med student. I intended on taking the steps on graduation but I just realized that would mean more years before matching. My plan is :

Step2 ck by August next year
Step1 by December.

I've saved long and hard enough for the duo.

I'll do CS with electives just after housemanship on one trip to the USA (flight alone na like 400k one way only grin ).

Then wait for the match.

Specialty of interest: Internal Medicine @ a top-tier program.

So help us God.

My email is matata4mbbs@gmail.com.

Thanks.

Its awesome.........I was advised by my uncle to take the step 1 but after 2nd mbbs, I had a very serious ailment that made me not to have concrete foundation in my pathology hence I had to wait till now. Goodluck once again. Am not that old sha grin Am just the same age number as the maximum normal value for bicarbonate.....minus 3 from it, thats the age I graduated.

1) chances of getting a job is high. Most of the physiotherapists working with my state government are non-indigenes. See?

2) &3) check here: http://www.csp.org.uk/your-health/what-physiotherapy

The chances of getting a job is not high at all. In fact, most physiotherapy graduates are unemployed and only very few work in government hospitals. So they end up traveling out of the country where opportunity is vast. This is not to discourage you because we pray things will change very soon but to make you aware of the recent happenings.

low chances of getting a job? I was thinking that it would be high due to the few number of Universities offering admission for the course?

[quote author=Lagusta post=12193318]HI.

I am a final year med student of UNILORIN. I opened this thread cos I noticed there isn't any that is specially for medical students, and I believe this is an opportunity for all docs in the making to meet, chat, share experiences, ask questions, and even make new friends!

Jambitos who wish to study medicine are also welcome...

So, let the clerking and presentation begin!!!

Each scholarship board has its own eligibility criteria. Read through the eligibility of the scholarship u want to apply for to know.
