A Political Mission For The Yoruba Commonwealth. by MayorofLagos(m): 2:35am On Dec 02, 2014 |
This is an address going out to all Yorubas, male, female, young, old, wherever we reside, inside Nigeria or beyond its borders. Nigeria has imploded and is slowly being consumed by a fierce bloodshed from within. It is not going to cease, we therefore trend that as is the case with every aspect of social malady that we have experienced in our national history, where managable confrontations are left untreated as it progresses from bad to worse, this too shall escalate past disastrous dimensions. For centuries the Fulani dynasty had a state monopoly that was never in contention anywhere in Hausaland, until now. In review, Boko Haram had issued a verbal challenge implicitly warning the Sultan of Sokoto, they have so far attacked four Emirs, killing two in the process...both were fatally assaulted, one died immediately from his wounds and the other suffered an irrecoverable trauma which few weeks later claimed his life. This is a wake-up call to all Yoruba citizens. Water is the source of life but light is the giver of energy. A life without energy stagnates and dies off. Nigeria has stagnated, its death is approaching.....Yorubaland must not die with it! Sustainable electricity was already in parts of Yorubaland at the turn of twentieth century and at a time when many parts of United States of America and indeed Europe were still using oil lamp. Yorubas were the first in Black Africa to use television or build a football stadium. The list of social developments in our urban civilization are too numerous to put up here. Yet no one can find a home in Yorubaland today that enjoys consistent use of electricity for two days without interruption and cut short their tv entertainment. This problem was not caused by PDP and it was not caused by APC....we do not need partisan politics to give us electricity with which to energise our development and progress, we simply need to focus on the barrier that blocks our way forward. That barrier is Nigeria. Yorubas, we must focus on the issues and vote in the party whose platform has adopted the Yoruba regional agenda. The Yoruba Agenda calls for regionalism....self governance! Through self governance we can revive and recover from the stagnation, we can safeguard and secure our homeland and commonwealth and put programmes in place to empower our youths and proper welfare for our aged parents. We can bring back the days when every community in Yorubaland had free healthcare. In 2015, do not vote party.....vote issues! Vote for those who commit to the Yoruba Agenda. Thank you all. Oduduwa a Gbe wa o! God Bless the Commonwealth of Yorubaland for ever! 4 Likes |
