@Manager007, I have been following your posts and comments on here, I can see you have really helped a lot in getting visits/students visa. Now my question goes thus: I have lived in South Africa for over 2 and half years with visitors visa, Though i have applied for permits but was denied, the last permit i applied for was work permit but was denied and i appealed via VFS few months back. I left the Republic for Nigeria over two months ago to quickly get some things done. I tracked my appeal application which i had with VFS in South Africa and it showed it has been dispatched so i told a friend to help me check from an Immigration which is an Insider. He told me my application has been approved. Now, i am planning to get a visitors visa so as to be able to enter the Republic and claim the Permit as soon as possible. Please this post is not only for Manager 007, anyone could please respond. Thanks |

kunletune: Well I think the best thing is to send ur passport and letter of authority to that ur friend in SA to collect ur permit for u from Vfs and then send back to u in Nigeria then u can use that to travel back to SA if u are so sure that u have bn given the work permit. U font actually need another visitor permit. |

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Manager007: 2:50am On Dec 04, 2014 |
manikky: You have been rightfully advised by Manikky. If you are sure your application has been approved, your only option remains to nominate someone to collect your permit on your behalfat VFS and have your passport couriered to you. I do not think the SAHC in Nigeria will issue visitor's visa to you since you have already been issued a work visa. Keep the thread informed and we can advise further where need be. All the best! |

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by yinksob002: 7:13am On Dec 04, 2014 |
If you live in Lagos, i will advise you to visit their embassy at 24, Molade Okoya Thomas street, Victoria Island, lagos and obtain a checklist of documents required. That will afford you the opportunity to meet with the officials and get proper clarifications on other issues relating to the permit in question. All the best eddiebruk: |

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by yinksob002: 6:52pm On Dec 04, 2014 |
It means your hotel booking had already been cancelled at the time your application was treated. This may be as a result of the fact that you cancelled your hotel booking before your visa application was processed or the booking was automatically cancelled by the hotel since you failed to turn up on the arrival date which i presume is the date below. Always try to apply early next time. Best of luck. extrovert6: 1 Like |
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Emasel(m): 8:48pm On Dec 04, 2014 |
Royat1: Since she is going for an undergraduate program in Pharmacy, she would need to have either a University diploma or ND in a Biological Science or have the Cambridge A Level GCE or have completed her first year of undergraduate studies in a Biological Science. She would need a transcript from the school in this regard to support her application She would also need to get her O Level results verified and evaluated by HESA. |

Manager007: Manager007 am aware of kunletune case infact he is a friend of mine. But another issue with his case is that before he left the republic the pasport on which the visitors visa was issued expired and he applied for a fresh passport before he left south africa. He is thinking of applying for a visitors visa on that new passport from Nigeria. Because sending your passport to south africa and dhl it back toyou might bring some problems incase he wants to enta the replublic that how did he get his permit stamped when he is not here (as you all know southy immigration at OR tambo can be funny sometimes). |

I pray that this post of mine attracts urgent replies. I got a 3 months multiple entry visiting visa to SA on the 16th of sept and it will expires on the 15th of Dec. This moth. But I am looking at the possibilities of making the trip. I have 8 more days on the visa by today and I am hoping to buy my ticket tomao and take off like on Tuesday. But I really want to be cleared on the fact that will these immigration people at Tanbo not gonna send me back as my visa just have days left? And a friend told me that I should not be worried that at the point of entry in SA that I will be granted an added 30days period of stay. I don't know if this is also true. Meanwhile my greatest plight why I wanna go is that my passport expired May15 next year. So I actually wanna go there and stay till sometimes next year when my passport will be expired so that I can get a passport renewal at nija home office over there cuz I believe a nija passport issued in joburg will attracts more Favour from any embassy while I am back home incase of further application to get a better country visa. This I want to be cleared on. Come to my Aids |
