bijouxcutey: With your test score, a good SOP and recommendations you should be able to get admission. In fact the poor undergrad gpa can be overlooked. I posted few schools that accept 2.7 cgpa even 2.5 here before but sadly, I can't remember the schools anymore. I think 1 of the schools is in Oregon and 1 in Montana. Search friend. 1 Like |

Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 6 by innovativeame(m): 7:47pm On Dec 03, 2014 |
ferdimako:Daft is an adjective, sir, but anger can transform any word to any part of speech that suits itself. That was why it was written in capital letters to show that it is a Proper Noun #DAFT#. It could actually be the name of a person though. 1 Like |

Pls very smart people, you gotta help me out. I applied for an f1 student visa in Malaysia twice, the second time the VO kindly adviced me to come back home because I do not have enuf ties in Malaysia. So taking her advice I came home last year August and started an ICT firm. Now I went for an Interview on DEC 2 here in Lagos, Nigeria to study Management Information System whch relates to Diploma In Information Tech I previously studied in Malaysia. I was refused d visa and here was how it went.. Me: Good Morning Ma VO: Morning She keeps quite for a while.. VO: Why re u going to US? Me: to complete my undergraduate studies VO: Why did u choose Michigan Tech Me: Michigan Tech has the most important tins I have always wanted in a University, a well structured curriculum, a friendly environment and a good classroom experience. VO: have h been here before? Me: No madam, I applied while I was in Malaysia VO: who is sponsoring you? Me: My father VO: what does he do? Me: (I explained his rank in the VIO) but I was nervous enuf dat I forgot to mention he is also a car merchant VO: what did you study at ur undergrad Me: I told her VO: May I see ur transcript Gave it to her, she checked nd returned it VO: what did u do after college? Me: (this was whr I think I got it wrong) I said I went to study in Malaysia, but I think she was asking after my college in Malaysia. Then she was kindda playing with my passport for a while, the brought out d scary form and said, "Unfortunately you do not qualify for a visa at this moment, thank you" I have a business of my own, registered, relatives and lots of solid ties. Please ppl I need your advice, I want to go again next week, what do you think I need to do diffetently this time.. |

jenns: If i am not wrong for you to get a new one you will need affidavit along side with police report and this might take longer than expected because i dont know how many minutes, hours, days or weeks or months to issue a new one for you but since your interview is coming up soon just go with a printed copy and the scratch card to check and verify the result online with prayers |

zeezahbee: Yes its twice but the third one the person will get a notice and if (s)he cancel it, then the visa fee will be forfeited. U.S embassy with new policies recently.. |

@gracemeryl, Square65 said they filed for the adjustment few months before the actual class starts. So in order not to violate any immigration laws, I will suggest you go for more advise from your international advisor or if your spouse's F1 is still good, you may defer your admission to summer or fall. Going out of the U. S. is the last option. 1 Like |

imperiouxx:if you check USCIS website or even the school website, you must file for change ofstatus 1years before the start of class. if her spouse still got a valid visa, then she could chill for USCIS but if her spouse visa has expired, USCIS will not change her status, they will advice her to go back to nigeria |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 6 by GraceyMeryl: 11:56pm On Dec 03, 2014 |
imperiouxx:. @ Imperiouxx I already applied for the uscis online option BUT JUST IN November, school official gave a little assurance to allow me register late if the approval comes late but the issue is trusting USCIS to provide approval latest by second week of February. Spouse F1 is still good if I will have to defer but the issue is that it was a fall admission already that I deferred till Spring. |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 6 by GraceyMeryl: 12:07am On Dec 04, 2014 |
zeezahbee: I have been in contact with USCIS the date they gave was 2.5month to get approval, but some people get approval exactly 2 months, some its 1.8month while for some its 3-6month. The best bet is to get approval by middle of January If I will not be traveling to Naija |
