blackweaver:its samsung galaxy note 2 T889 by T.mobile... I learnt that the phone was rooted and it was running on android version 4.4.4 kitcat. But I ignorantly factory reseted the phone causing it to lose its operating system, so I need someone who can flash the phone with odin for me and downgrade it to Android version 4.3 |

Hello people! Please what should I do? Is it normal for my android phone to hang especially when playing games? |
Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by nani667: 10:47pm On Dec 02, 2014 |
busky101: You said the phone is rooted, If you have a custom recovery installed on the phone, just download any custom ROM for the device model and flash via recovery.... If you didn't install any custom recovery then just download the stock firmware for your device model and flash via Odin ✔ |

Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by nani667: 12:49am On Dec 03, 2014 |
busky101: The Odin I was referring to is a PC software... You said your phone lost it's operating system, meaning anything you're doing on the phone now is pointless.... The only thing you can do now is flash the a custom ROM or stock firmware on the device.... |

Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by ciphoenix: 10:45am On Dec 03, 2014 |
busky101: Get a tar version of your favourite recovery (CWM or TWRP) flash via Odin/Download mode Use the recovery to flash any custom rom (stock or AOSP) of your choice (the note 2 has too many available and they're easier to download than stock) |
Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by busky101(m): 10:56am On Dec 03, 2014 |
ciphoenix:ok, pls. Must I use a recovery to flash the fone cos actually I just got the phone yesterday so I was trying to wipe the phone before the issue occurred. I don't want to backup anything meanwhile I have downloaded samsung usb driver, odin 3.09 and am presently downloading liquid smooth rom 3.1..so pls do I still need a recovery before I could flash it! |
Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by ciphoenix: 11:01am On Dec 03, 2014 |
busky101: You do need a recovery. You could check what kind of recovery you have by booting up with power + Vol up + home button. If it's the stock recovery, you'll need to download CWM, TWRP, or any other CWM based recoveries. Or cannibal open touch recovery (a new one based on the CyanogenMod recovery) Edit: remember - flash recovery with Odin. flash rom with recovery |

Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by ciphoenix: 12:37am On Dec 04, 2014 |
busky101: No, it didn't lose any OS. it's just a case of damaged recovery partition. You have to install a new one via Odin/Download mode |
