It is a recognition well-deserved. I was in Enugu last week and i kept saying wow at the quality of life and amenities. The roads are amazing. Traffic light everywhere. The night life is ooh la la... beautiful women that were looking like Miss World. The Shoprite mall there is in a league of its own higher than the Palms, Ikeja City Mall and Adeniran Ogunsanya shopping Mall. The police there seemed to be different from what i see here in Lagos. The police vehicles/cars looked as neat as the officers patrolling in them. I was going to Maryland from Otigba around 11pm, being that it had been a long time since the last time I was in Enugu so I missed my way but a police patrol situated at one of the junctions after Independence layout came to my rescue. He did not only direct me to where i was going but he escorted me to the place and left without harassment nor asking for a tip like an average policeman in Nigeria would have done. My driver could not believe it being that he had not been to Enugu prior to that time.

Long Live Sullivan Chime
Long Live Enugu State

Enugu... To God Be The Glory.

Why do you guys like comparing apples with oranges? What is the size and population of Enugu compared to Lagos? Enugu, by all standards, is a very small suburb in Lagos. Nothing more...The road networks in Enugu might not even be up to 10% of what exists in Lagos!

I am from south - East but you made a point, Sullivan developed only enugu town but Fashola developed the entire lagos

When you point it out on here dat fashola is overhyped some peeps wud want to feast on you. Sullivan did a lot in transforming Enugu considering the little federal allocation coming to the state. He transformed Enugu without borrowing $1b from world bank like one governor from the south west. Enugu abulugo obodo oyibo. Ala igbo adigo mma. Long live Nigeria

You want some people to faint ?

Enugu may not be a commercial city, but it is a residence for great men, cutting across all strata of society, with rich cultural heritage, backed by good governance..

Don't give kudos to mr. Fash there are companies in Lagos that develop communities.

But it should be noted that mr. Fash performed better than tinubu by far.

Interesting.

Enugu is one of the three cities in Nigeria that support the kind of lifestyle I like. The others are Abuja and Uyo. I would have included Jos but for its recurring violence.

Because the govt at the centre has refused to give South East water ways, Niger bridge and after how many years just one international airport. You all know the effect of giving Igbos one Seaport ?

Given equal footing, you and I know that no part of Nigeria can match the resilience of the south east.

Oyibo man said it. Even America will know..

^^^What happened to Jos is so sad! If they had been in Southern Nigeria and had different neighbours, Jos would have been Nigerias' preeminent tourist destination! sad

I hope the next Abia governor is watching cos ABA and Abia in general needs change as well as all our eastern states.
As an enugu boy, I can only pray and hope my brothers in abia get it right this time after almost 16 years of bad leadership.
The original plan of abia state is one of the best in the country(juding by google images). It only remains for the governor(s) to tarr the roads and put other things right. Yet the two iddiots have failed to do that in 16 years! hmmm...God will punish some people.
Anambra is working! I went and I saw.
Can't really say much about Imo(have not been there for years now). But I hear the governor is doing quite well irrespective of the his party affiliations grin
So, my prayers remains with abia and ebonyi to get it right this time. God in his infinite mercy will do it for us.
Lastly, I appreciate the gift of SULLIVAN CHIME. You've been a blessing to us the people of enugu state. God bless you sir.

Well deserved...not surprised! Enugu is a beautiful, clean and functional city. Best road network, working street lights, nature( those hills and weather...that cool weather will keep your skin beautiful), impeccable road markings and signs....international standard. Modern malls and estates. Want to talk about the social life, night life, sports activities? Enugu is the best... coming from a Calabar man married to an Enugu woman!

Don't take his bait. He want to incite Igbo dick measuring contest between Enugu people and Anambrarians. Don't take the bait, don't compare Enugu with any SE town,Enugu is the capital of the Igbo nation, it belongs to all Ndiigbo. Onitsha is our commercial capital, Aba is our Industrial capital, Nnewi is going to be our detroit, Owerri our tourist haven, Abakaliki would be the centre of our agro econnomy, there is room for all in the Igbo nation, no need for Igbo dick measuring contest.
I looked for a way to double like this post but it's unfortunate that there can only be one like for each post.

Notwithstanding, I am giving you 100,000,000 LIKES for this post.
