B------B Eb F# angry

BTW, what is a C finding in the scale of F#? undecided
you're right. It seems I've given this one before. By the way, the C should have been B.

Not! It's just simple, that's why. wink

You need to see how scared I am whenever you mention "it's beyond the scope of this thread because it's involves ear and brain works" like I need to be Albert Einstein before I can gerrit! angry

BTW, is the lecture over yet? undecided

@karleb
that's the just the basic one I use. I'll give you the others when I'm with a keyboard.

I'm not done yet with it. I'll post it here before the end of today.

Thankyou sir for opening up to help me.My question is about deminished chord, I know it but I don't know how to apply it in a song. Deminshed chord is gotten by lowering the third and fifth notes by a semi-tone. How is it applied in a song?
a dim chord is one of d popular passing chords...its used to create a transition to either a maj or min chord.....for example : on key c...if i want to mve to my 6th degree(la), the dim chord that will work is E//F Ab B
E//Ab B D
Which will lead u to :
A//E A C

If im on Emin, and I want to play a nice transiting 6th(la) chord to take me to Dmin, i can use :

A//Db E G or
A//E G Bb or
A//G Bb Db

Which will lead to :

D//F A C.

The last one is when moving from F(fa) to G(so), in between that F and G, U can use

F#//C Eb Gb or
F#//Eb Gb A or
F#//F# A C or
F#//A C Eb

which will lead u to either

G//G B D

or

G//E G C(in the case of this chord, you will still have to play the chord above after playing this one below before going to Cmaj)

Sorry for the late reply, was really busy...Hope I answered your question

By saying perfect fourths, you mean circle of fourths or fourth chords?

fourth chords
Ok of course you know fourth chords are chords which the notes are a perfect fourth apart, In study of structure of chords, you'll find out that some of the chords have fourth chords in them or maybe they're scattered and you have to arrange them and get your fourth/quartal chords, I would hve loved to give examples but I don't hve them off hand, Cos I dont really use them...their sound doesn't seem appealing to me...I ll add that to my list of upcoming videos, but you know how to create extended and altered chords right?

yeah I understand the theory behind them.. I just need tips on how to use them. its funny u say u don't like them, I think they sound jazzy. I guess everyone has their own taste, style.. like u always say. however I would like you to share those examples when you do get them, thanks.
yeah, I can create extended and altered chords.

start with creating extended minor and then dominant chords, when ure done..take a chord first, fish out its notes and see if a fourth chord is in it, do that for other extensions/alterations

its a series of fifth intervals...Im sure u know what intervals mean, a circle of fifth means...the fifth of C is G, the fifth of G is D, the fifth of D is A, etc until it takes u back to C(tthats why its a circle...its also used to create progressions for songs, rock songs especially), we also have circle of fourth...all u do is just apply the same method i used fr circle of fifth, the fourth of C is F, the fourth of F is Bb, etc
Re: A Thread For Keyboardists by Dramadiddy(m): 9:29am On Dec 08, 2014

Well I can't really say much becus am still a rookie, started learning it on my own and it messed up my fingering real big, have managed to re address that with the help of a friend, I can only handle key C comfortably and a bit of F. I can play rhythms and solo to some extent. But the aspects of C#, F#, chords etc are still a bit confusing for me. What do you suggest?

Lol u aff work to do...u have to start practicing how to run ur chords of the major scale like

C//C E G
D//D F A
E//E G B
F//F A C
G//G B D
A//A C E
B//B D F
C//C E G

Then do this same thing for other keys, also play their inversions too...if u get speed well..u should be done in two weeks...you will know how to play all your keys perfectly!

I just did a video on a basic worship session in the key of A and Bb with my camcorder.
And the file size is 72mbshocked for just 5mins sad.
Who has an Idea of what software would be suitable for converting it and making the file size much smaller ?
