Just try and contest for an ordinary councilship election in your village and you will understand that even in your thick bushy village, the cabals that exist there are more powerful than you can ever imagine. Nigeria needs to be fixed but neither APC nor PDP can do that.
why didnt dangote buy the defunct refineries .... why is he the only licensed to currently build . simple its no childs play building a refinery nd so we would have to buy fuel at whatever price he wishes since his refinery would be the only functioning .... this industry needs competition not monopoly . the other should be privatised if truly they have the public at heart and not their pockets.

Dangote is not only person licensed to build a refinery. Orient refinery, in Anambra, will soon take off.

America's growth and wealth is tied and dyed within the private sector. The only govt company owned by the US is the US postal service.

China's growth and dominant economy today did not begin with Chinnese communist owned farms but by private investments from the west and by Chinnese entrepreneurs who now account for the second highest number of billionaires after Russia.

Govt has no business doing business.
I didn't say we shouldn't privatise .. with this Corrput background and at the pace we moving making fight against corruption n Indiscipline less priority
..
I pity the future

The NLC and PENGASAN (on the orders of tinubu) opposed it during the Yaradua period. Jimoh Ibrahim went to court to stop the sale.

oh , why tinubu now . I didnt hear tinubu was part of it . yes because there were many unresloved issues . how can we privatise refineries when the PIB is still pending , perhaps the privitisation will still go to the cabals who will still bring up claims they need support from the govt just as we seeing in the power sector.

FG does not need a bill to privatize their assets.

The PIB gives the legal framework for the Oil industry which is geared towards transperancy, accountability, social and ecological responsibility by oil companies and mostly to encourage local content in manpower and engineering and fabrication.

On the long run the bill will benefit every Nigerian.

Shatap with your nonsense corruption mantra.

This is the only rhetoric you dunces and your daft general keep regurgitating.

The key to fighting corruption is reducing govt role to that of a regulatory body.

And that calls for govt hands of directly in the economy (oil sector ) and promotion of private ventures.

The only main corruption cases we will then have is not looting of state funds but tax evasion.

Yes , they do not need a bill .... but that bill affects me as an investor , thats a reason it needs to be passed before I can know what risk am going into . all these need not to be delayed really.

At least this interview showed us why Buhari is broke after serving as minister of petroleum, rising to the rank of Maj General, becoming head of state and serving as chairman of PTF.

The man is daft to managing his own ill gotten wealth. His current poverty status is his own doing.

Direct your enquiries to Tambuwal and co. The bill is yet to pass first reading in that chaotic chamber of thieves.

My comment on Buhari and Atiku will be put on hold until this wednesday when APC will hold presidential primaries.Whenever APC through their lying Mohammed tell us that it did not zone the presidency to the north,i can't help but laugh.

Why is there no yoruba man contesting for APC presidential primaries? A look at the contestants and their geographical leanings will reveal very clearly that it has been zoned to the north.

Kwankwaso - Kano (North)

Nda Isaiah - Kaduna (north)

Atiku - Adamawa (North)

Buhari - Katsina (North)

Okorocha is the only candidate from the south.

This born to rule mentality which APC is promoting must be stopped

Stop fooling yourself and think you are deceiving the people. That time has passed. PDP tactically and forcefully prevented any other person whether from the north, east, west and south from contesting against Jonathan. Please dwell on that. The born-to-rule gist is stale now.

Does Nigerian military have the capability to tackle the insurgency?

Hmmmmm........ They do not have adequate weapons.

Are you saying the insurgents are more equipped?
Hmmmm...... Yes

Is sabotage an issue?
Hmmmm... The military does not have adequate weapons.
My friend if u must quote then do it well. Are the insurgents more equipped?
That's wat the military said.
Do you think is a case of sabotage? No it is corruption.
Corruption in which sector?
In Government sector.
Have you forgiven the man that over threw u and put you in jail?
I have forgiven him but I can't forget it as some Nigerians want me too.
Do you feel sorry for over throwing shagari govt.in coup?
Do you mean we should allow the impunity, stealing, corruption, with which his government is operating.
So you blame shagari for that?
Pls don't personalise rather I blame his regime.
At 71 dnt u think you are too old to vie for presidency?
The constitution allows me to contest because am qualified and it's up to Nigerians to decide at the polls who they want.
You were a president before and now you want to go back is there anything you forgot in Aso Rock or something you want to go and correct?
PDP has failed the country from 1999 till date that's why APC,AC,CPC merge together to wrestle the PDP because of our seriousness and I believe given the chance I have something to offer.
You were quoted before that you will not seek to contest why the sudden change of mind?
My people and many interest group came to persuade me against my wish, that since am still a partisan politician I can always contest and I listen to their wishes.ETC

The born to rule mentality can also now be attributed to Jonathan. He has done 6years and achieved nothing and still wants to continue.
Vote out Jonathan, the sit-tight,born to rule dictator.

Not only FAAN but other govt entities.

The number one on my list should be the NNPC and all their rubish subsidiaries and ventures.

This is a company that neither explores, drills or markets crude.

All sectors within the production chain be it up or downstream are contracted to private foriegn companies.

The NNPC just have staff sitting in their offices passing files, going on foriegn courses up to PHD on govt expense, and doing local tours for the DTA.

They are a monumental waste.
oh , so you see this too ... our state owned petroleum cmpany does not have any asset they handle on their own . they all depend on multinational and we are here shouting local content . do you think local content will come to stay in the long run . we compare our country to saudi , brazil ,and qatar in loal content but have failed to look at their state energy companies . take a look at saudi aramco , russia rosfnet, brazil petrobras and malaysia petronas too , they all have asset owned both in their countries and in other countries . seriously , Nigeria needs a change and it starts with a change in govt.

This Buhari guy. very very sound. He is operating from a broader political context than most people commenting here can understand.
I just watched all the clips. This guy is a far better material than GEJ. Most of his examples coming before 1985 have most of the younger people staring into space which is sad, why can't you read history. For the Ibo youth, a lot of them can regurgitate thrash about Ibo massacres but probably were not told that Nigeria was going to develop atomic power in the 80s, that Nigeria airways had the most aircraft on the African continent or that Nigerian Shipping Line had about twelve ships. That Nigerian heads of state speak at the UN general assembly and the world shakes.
