The state exco of the Peoples democratic party PDP in Imo State has resolved to reverse the earlier announced result which declared Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha as the party's flag bearer because of the irregularities that marred the electoral process. The recorded result of the primary which was held at Dan Anyiam Stadium owerri was different from the announced result, In the recorded result Senator Ifeanyi Araraume scored 336 votes while Emka Ihedioha scored 325 votes as against 346 that was announced.

The result of the primary as recorded by the electoral committee is as follows
