The PDP vÔtes inÇluded those people that woulðñt have voted of the Sarakis were "united", Ópposition ÀÇN lost some vote§ to PDP and had split votes with ACPÑ. After the poll, ACPN's Saraki moved back to PDP and collapsed the ACPN structure. Today, Saraki is APc, Gbemisola(sister) is the PDP leader in Kwara state, both parties are under the control of the Sarakis. Whether APC or PDP(Gbemisola) win 2015 in Kwara, the Sarakis are still in charge.

In 2007,ibori decided to support Uduaghan as his successor,knowing fully well dat dis was not a popular nor 'politically correct decision' of which will not be bought by the who is who in delta politics.

Gov ibori decided sponsor as many aspirant including Dr. Okowa(who is to claim votes of those unloyal folks from delta north senatorial district). At d end,result showed dat uduaghan and okowa had almost dsame number of votes,so there was need for a rerun btw okowa and uduaghan,the former was lobbied to shelve a rerun and conceed to uduaghan,and then become a governor inwaiting. And so d story went,uduaghan became the gov of delta. ....that's the new style of politics which even beats d imagination of seasoned politician(ask erstwhile pdp chairman Ahmadinejad Ali,cos his wife was a victim).

So as d 2015 elections drew near, different aspirant sprang up from their "limbo",several of them claimed to be anointed,(tho the anointed one OKOWA who is a doctor,former commissioner of health,ssg just like uduaghan)kept mute and went any his political adventure his own way,this caught the attention of deltans as he was seen as not connected to ibori/uduaghan dynasty,his support base grew across the state.uduaghan leant. From the iboris experience as he(ibori was hated by the urhobos for his support for uduaghan,).Anoda aspirant TONY OBUH sprang up spontaneously as he has neva been heard of in delta politics,(he was d puppet to whose script already has a stage and an audience).he too grew his support base as political prostitutes lobbied around and supported him in terms of cash and delegate support.
THE TRICK
On the day of the pdp governorship primaries TONY OBUH STEPPED DOWN AND ORDERED HIS SUPPORTERS TO VOTE FOR OKOWA, this gave okowa a resounding victory of 406 votes,followed by David edevbie who scored 299 votes.
LESSONS
uduaghan has stylishly fooled deltan to support. Okowa who is his anointed candidate without their knowledge.

Okowa is 'paying homage' to Uduaghan because Uduaghan is still a governor and a PDP member, if nothing he still needs the 'little votes' from the few Itsekiri that are still with Uduaghan their son not because Uduaghan made him the winner.
