Pastors building their empires on earth instead of building same in Heaven as instructed by God through Jesus Christ.
They do not preach salvation anymore, except prosperity, prosperity and prosperity....... for people to join them in building fortunes and empires on earth. What a shame, what a catastrophy?

But the Bible says: The Earth will eventually pass away, but the words of God will never pass away.

So, why do pastors not wisely prepare people to make Heaven.

They have forgotten that it is the narrow gate ( of holiness, righteousness & salvation) that leads to Heaven, and not the broad gate (of earthly prosperity, fortune, jeeps, masions etc) that leads to destruction and loss of eternal life.

This man is really generous; spending 1bn naira of his hard earned money on a place of worship is quit remarkable.

General Overseer of God First Ministry, popularly known as Illumination Assembly, Bishop Isaac Idahosa is arguably one of the classy and wealthy clergy in Nigeria.

The handsome bishop whose ministry is tagged Celebrity Church, parades a N2.5 billion ministry.

His N1.5 billion 10,000-seater auditorium along Addo-Langbasa Road, Ajah, Lagos, is ready.

The new auditorium would serve as his new headquarters when commissioned this year. A close source to the bishop informed ENCOMIUM Weekly that he splashed over N1 billion on the project. The reason is that the acres of land he acquired were reclaimed at Ajah, Lagos.

We learnt he also acquired another multi million naira property around Ajah too recently. Insiders alleged that he invested heavily on property and ICT.

That explains the N100 million auditorium he reportedly erected at Surulere axis in Lagos. He also commissioned a multi-million naira auditorium at Okota, Lagos. This also serves as one of his branches. Amongst his multi-million naira properties, the branch at Minna, Niger State is acclaimed the biggest. It is an ultra-modern edifice. The reason is not unconnected with the fact that he started his ministry from there.

The soft-spoken clergy also invested in health centres. The health centres are directly under the supervision of the church. He has the main health centre at Ajah near the ministry’s headquarters.

In fact, Bishop Idahosa is widely known as Pastor of Celebrities. A lot of Nollywood stars grace his ministry and he holds special services for them.

The reason is that he is also an entertainment loving bishop with three hit gospel albums and the popular one is Don’t Give Up. These albums have net several millions for him due to his widespread influence.

He lives well and loves the good things. He lives in one of the most expensive estates in Ajah. He rides a Lincoln Navigator, Range Rover and has five SUV automobiles.

However, his rise to success is quite remarkable as he started his ministry with 50 kobo.

Today, the ministry has blossomed into a mega church. In September 2012, international gospel star, Ron Kennelly was among the special guests invited for the 23rd anniversary of Bishop Idahosa’s Illumination Assembly Church in Minna, Niger State.

His honorarium per annum from most of his engagements, home and abroad, is close to N50 million. As a celebrity pastor, he nets an estimated N500 million per annum as tithes and offering.

Bishop Isaac Idahosa is from Edo State. He was born into the family of six children and he is the third. He is married to Christie Idahosa. The marriage clocked 26 on Sunday, April 28, 2014. The union is blessed with two children, Christabell and Osagie.

At one time the church used to have massive crowd around that Ajah and then suddenly the crowd thined out maybe they have all moved into the massive building, but the cars that used to block both sides have reduced, on a closer look the church building project has started again. Investigations reveal that the church service is all about magical revelations that they sometimes have to make phone calls Live to reveal the truth.
Alot of publicity stunt lately though if this is one of them we are watching and investigating.

We have some ex members of the watch with some tales to tell also.

I swear the pastor is poor, the Lincoln is oldskool and the church is small....that church is not worth 50million
The auditorium is nowhere near 1000 capacity.
The building as been there close to five years now...no improvement.
Just one fenceless dilapidated building.

Bro do not bé Fooled, tithing is no longer required after Jesus Christ death. Tithing was an arrangement meant to cater for the needs in the Temple(Worship and Attonment of Sins Of The Nation Of Istreal) which the Levites are being used by Jah to championed. And it was a MUST for the Istraelites before Jesus Christ died on the torture stake to pay Tithe. But after the death of CHrist which naulifies all the Old divine Arragements or Rituals the fleshly High Priest of Istreal of Old have to carry out as outlined in the Mosaic laws, the new arrangment of support for worshipping and fostering christian ministry no longer involves Tithing. So what really replace the old way?
Voluntary contribution which is defined here at 2Corinthians Chapter 9 Verse 7. Read also Hebrews 7:12
Througth the new testament or New Arragement, Tithe was never requestes by any of the Apostles to support the christian ministries wherever it was active during the time.
To top it all, the Apostles do not live by the willfull contributions of the Christian congregations becaus they themselves have jobs. As an example, Apostle Paul was a Tentmaker Acts 18:3
There is even another one who is a Doctor by profession. Immagine that.
But what are we seeing today?
The opposite!

The clergies and the other counterprts are "lording" the position on the followers.

most people just talk shit without thinking first

with the economy of today you cant build an auditorium that will comfortably accommodate over 10,000 people without spending billions of naira,

i read someone talk about the old church please also remember that the temple Solomon built would be valued way in the region of big billions if it was built today.

you talk about tithes and offering its a demand by our own God and our own religion just the same way your Ogun would ask you to bring a lions head, tigers tail etc and you do because you believe in it. we pay our tithes and offerings to our churches because we believe in the blessings that comes with them (now if a pastor or a bishop decided to spend or steal Gods money then let God be the judge and not you)

i am sure if i opened a thread for people to share their testimonies on tithing we would be tired of reading...

we pay our tithes and offering because we believe in it and the blessings please leave us alone

you talk about the poor like you even know half the things we do to help

if you want to tithe please do, if you dont believe in it please do whatever you believe in but please do not take unnecessary shots at people who do not share same believe with you

thats the basis of my argument
