Hi guys. Thank God for the all medical calls. my eye just caught some posts about bringing nanny and kids and all wat not from a 9ja mummy or so. let me just type in what i know. Child care in Canada is a serious matter. There are extra visa requirements if you are entering canada as a care giver or nanny so if you are contemplating bringing a "9ja style nanny" here as a nanny just forget it. nanny here have special training in CPR etc. Maybe you can apply for her under another status. If your mum is retired ehen, you can include her and she will help you. US and Canada work closely together share info etc but dem no be the same at all. Americans still require work permit and study permit. So be prepared to pay health insurance etc if you are american or for your kids if they are american. what else what else. Yes my neighbor from France was asked was asked to pay 18months child care for her child. her programme is 18months in addition to school fees. her child care is about 58 bucks a day. I do not know much but from my small interaction with an immigration lawyer, doing medical initially helps a lot. I do not know how it helps though. she wouldnt say but she told me she always insists on medical being a part of the initial application. Maybe its a way for her Dr. friends to make money. But it wont hurt to do it. its valid for a year. worst case you reapply scenario during its validity. Oh and when looking for admission look for towns that have cheap housing with free buses. when looking for job after school you can always move. Bigger towns equals more expenses. Vancouver for example is very expensive. Gotta run. These books wont read themselves. I do not know it all. So do not come for me..... 5 Likes |

Wow! What a house! When I see the progress recorded by members in this house, I get encouraged. I know I'm far behind (at the admission level, precisely) but I also know that someday I would be where you all are. I have been able to locate a supervisor at Calgary. I just wrote him about 2 hours ago. Hopefully, he would reply soon. I have also started filling the form online. The only challenge I am having is the case of my wife. She can't go in for direct M. Sc because of her CGPA (3.35/5.00). I have been trying to look for schools that have a PGD program in Public Health but I haven't made much progress here. UniAlberta and UniCalgary do not have PGD programs at the moment. I just wrote to Lethbridge and I hope something good comes up. Please people, if you know any school that does a PGD program in Public Health, kindly share with me. I'll continue my search on Google though... Thanks, thanks, thanks! EDIT: Lethbridge just replied. They said they have no such program. Biko, na wetin I go do na? Ideas...please.. |

Hello Good people in the house. Please how do i tackle this delayed? reasons: 1, purpose of travel 2, length of stay 3, asset and financial status 4, travel history 5, employment I applied using my uncle's SOA. I recently concluded my NYSC program. I have a landed property in which I included the agreement but I didnt include my personal SOA because I didnt have enough balance in it. I paid first semester tuition fee. Please guys how do I tackle this delay in my refire? Thank you. |

WESTERNCR: That was d same reasons I was delayed in my first application. Your SOP should cover purpose of visit and length of stay. Your landed property document can serve as home-tie/asset. If you have not travel out before, then ignore the travel history reason |
