Okorocha's Speech!!! Inspiring And Best Amongst All 5 Candidates by pendy79: 2:14am On Dec 11, 2014 |
Today I heard the fiery oratorical skills of Owelle Rochas Okorocha for the 1st time and I really see a future for Nigeria with him. "There is nothing wrong with the head of state but there CAN BE something wrong with the state of the head" Wow Owelle stole my heart tonight if I was a delegate, he surely would have had my vote. I hope the Igbo will Allow him and support him in the near future. He seems the surest bet to Aso Rock by the Igbos. The man is sound. 13 Likes 1 Share |

Okorocha is not a very sophisticated politician I have drilled down what he says and to be honest? nothing special. The only reason Okorocha will most likely do well in National politics better than most Igbos is because he speaks fluent Hausa but in terms of knowing what he is talking about, there are far better politicians in the East. Take for example that quote about "Head of State" and "State of the Head", what is he really saying? That the President is mad or that the rest of Nigeria is mad? That said, Okorocha is far more brilliant than Buhari. I still don't believe APC is fielding their A-list candidates! 7 Likes 1 Share |

@ mikeansy I think you are doing the quote a lot of injustice, he is not saying the head of state is not normal but rather questioning his judgement. State of the head is about certain decision that one take with other considerations not necessarily because one feels it is the best option. It wasn't an insult 7 Likes 2 Shares |

ruffp: That's my sentiments too. I feel with him and Fashola on the Ballot in 2019 or 2023, the nation can and will experience massive growth and development. I think the choice is clear now, either Nigerians decide to go with continuity of the present state of hopelessness or seek a change that the likes of Okorocha, Fashola, Buhari and others represents. The party is lucky indeed, eminent intellectuals AMD technocrat abound in the APC. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Abeg what is deep about the state of the head/head of state comment? It sounds cool but makes no sense in the context he is using it. He said it because that's what Nigerians like to hear. Please don't let these men bamboozle you. Think critically about that statement. What is he trying to tell us? If there is nothing wrong with the head of state then what is the issue? 2 Likes |

Okorocha is the only igbo politician with a talent for populist mobilisation and connection to the masses. The others are traders who accidentally crashed into politics or politicians trading political goodwi for cash. In any case most of them prefer caucus conspiratorial.politics involving the exchange.of cash, gentleman agreements backed by oath swearing to any broad.base appeal to mass emotion. It is going to be hard to get an Ibo President because the ideological promptings for a true political ditection are lacking. Businessmen traders make very weak business men because politics is more intense and the commodity of exchange is more intagible. |

Buhari can not stand hearing that another candidate was selected instead of himself. He knew what he was going to fo the moment he was told to step down for a younger person, so he had to stay away. Its better someone goes and bring news of the discussion than atiku looking him in the face and telling him to step down. I can imagine how buhari and atiku would ague. Atiku: buhari for the sake of peace step down for me you have lost before and u will loose again. This is our only chance. Buhari: you too have lost before and u will loose again, respect me and step down. Atiku: you are a looser Buhari; you r more of a looser than i am. Kwakanso: ehmm guys guys lets Atiku: shut up kwakwanso Buhari: Shut up kwakwanso who are u? Tambuwal: Well i am interested in this race so. Atiku: shut up tambuwal who knows you in Nigeria? Buhari: tambuwal u better go back to fi di fi where u came from if u will not stay quiet here. Amechi: I have invested alot in this party, i mean 70% of my state allocation has gone in here, why cant i be candidate? Atiku: look amechi or whatever you call urself , ur brother is our no 1 enemy that makes u one. Amechi: what did u just say? Tinubu: Amechi, what he is trying to say is that its the turn of the north, once they win they will give u a position that will allow u recover ur money 100 times, we are talking of presidential candidate here im sure VP will reach u. Buhari: yes amechi dont mind atiku Atiku: who the hell do u think you are, you are no match for me even as a gov. If it comes to stealing i am better than you, u steal at a state level i have stolen at the presidential level, so dont come here telling me about 70% of ur state allocation, i can give u all u spent on this party from my wallet nw. Rochas : mmh mmh, my people say, when a child washes his hands clean, he wines and dines with kings and queens. I believe i have washed my hands clean, that is why i am here with you all. Let me have a chance i am small but mighty. Atiku: rochas u better shut up all the problems we are facing now is because of u and ur broda gudluck dont let us descend on u. Rochas: look i have told u goodluck is not an igbo man, so i deserve a chance. Buhari: Nonsense, walahai talahi ip not vo folotics what will i be doing with this small buoi rochas. Atiku: rochas please we r here for serious business, this is not buying and selling so keep quiet. Rochas: i rochas, owelle, anu nga nga mpi, okutute 1, ebube agu 1, ogirishi 1, udo akpu enyi 1, dike eji eje mba 1 should keep quiet? ok oo i am quiet. Tinubu : ehhm rochas, you know i like u alot because u and i have one think in common. We are both business minded, we see politics as business. Relax when they finish, u and i will discuss the business angle of this party 2 aside. ok? Rochas: Tinubu my maaaaaaaaaan, you see why i like u. U know this is why they always say igbos are yorubas are enemies. but the truth is that we are best of friends. Its just that we are both business minded and wont like anyone to cheat us. Since u said we will discuss the business angle then let me keep quiet. Atiku and Buhari thinking ( i dont know who brought this igbo traders into trader (amechi and rochas) into this party. They will soon sell us out. Tinubu alone is enough crook for one party. Left for me , let them leave this party for use so we can have both north muslim furesident and northern muslim vice furesident). 2 Likes 2 Shares |

If I expose the demons in APC, Nigeria will burn – Fani-KayodeBy TODAY on June 9, 2014 @ 10:03 am@todayngr Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Fani-Kayode, has said Nigeria will burn if he exposes the antics of his ‘former’ party, APC. Fani- Kayode also advised former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo to put an end to his romance with the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) because the party hierarchy detests him and are only ‘using him’ to ride to power. The controversial former minister who made the revelations via a statement on Sunday stated that it was unfortunate that the ex-president has not seen beyond the veil in his relationship with the leadership of APC. In his own words, “I will also use my good offices to talk to Baba Obasanjo to stop flirting with these demons in the APC, because deep down, they secretly hate him. Other than those that left PDP to go to APC, the rest of them despise OBJ and are only using him. We must save OBJ from them. “I once described the party (PDP) as a ‘sinking ship’ and, at the time, I meant it. However, it is now my firm resolve that we shall join hands with all men and women of goodwill from now on and, together, we shall stop that ship from sinking. This is because we have no choice but to do so. “I would rather go back to a sinking ship and salvage it rather than be in bed with a bunch of ruthless men and women, who have blood on their hands and whose desperation for power and to rule over those that they believe were born to be their slaves, borders on obsession. “Despite all its defects and challenges, I have gone back to my family, the PDP, and I am glad to be back there. I am also glad that they have welcomed me with open arms. Now the work begins”. Fani-Kayode further revealed that he was ready to expose the atrocities of APC, which, according to him, was parading itself as an alternative to the PDP. “So far, I have only revealed 10 per cent of what I know because I do not want to create havoc in this country. But slowly, the whole truth about the APC will emerge. Who really started the party, what its real agenda is, whose interests it is designed to further and protect, what foreign links it has, what its historical antecedents are, where its real funding comes from and so on and so forth will soon come out. “Simply put, the Haramites in the APC cannot be trusted with power. It is as simple as that. They are the greater evil and they are the greatest of all evils. They are the darkness that seeks the darkness. Whether we like to accept it or not, PDP is the only party that can stop them from winning power at the centre in Nigeria and that is why I have gone back to that party. “If I choose to speak out, fight back and tell the world who and what they are, what they represent, how they love to shed blood, their relationship with Boko Haram, the truth about Chibok [abducted girls] and the role some of their leaders played in it, their Islamist agenda, their links with the Middle East and the Arab world, their born-to-rule mentality, their desire to use the South West and later dump them, their utter disdain for southerners, the Middle Belt, the northern minorities, the moderate Muslims and the Christian community and so much more this country will burn. “For 38 years, they enjoyed power and now they are destabilising the government, making the country ungovernable, slaughtering innocent civilians at will and abducting children just to get it back. They have also infiltrated the military and our security agencies with their moles and they have divided our army. Yet, these are the people that are talking and pointing fingers at others”, Fani-Kayode stated. The former minister said the overwhelming majority of the party’s membership never had an inkling on the idea or agenda of the party. He, however, expressed the hope that Nigerians would commend him for taking the bold step of exposing the agenda of the party. “Sadly, the overwhelming majority of its members have no idea what is really going on behind the scenes and what the agenda really is. Those are the ones that I really feel sorry for. “They will cry at the end of the day if the APC is ever able to seize power at the federal level, because if that happens, we will all become second class citizens in a new colony. “In addition to this, most of the more reasonable and rational leaders in the party are complaining bitterly behind the scenes, but they are too scared to speak out or to leave the party. I urge them all to do so before it is too late”, he added. 1 Like |

Cmediagroup: if u think nigeria moved forward under jonathan.....think again! Infact the best bet would hv been to scatter this whole sham we call democracy and start afresh, but that might be too radical. A softer alternative is giving power to an opposition party, things went(have gone) so bad under pdp rule. |

We don't need good speeches, intimidating credentials, well read and seasoned personalities. We need humane, principled and great doers of the people's wishes. We need accountable and development inclined personalities. We need personalities who will develop the society by planting trees which shed they know they will not sit under. All these great and emotional speeches are useless to ordinary citizens. |
Re: Okorocha's Speech!!! Inspiring And Best Amongst All 5 Candidates by ruffp: 2:20pm On Dec 11, 2014 |
jamace: U are right and wrong as well.....yes @the end of the day its positive action to achieve set goals that we need. However the guys that gave the speeches we are analysing are not in a position to change the status quo....we can only judge them based on their words, precedence and how they articulate the nigerian situation. Why else do u think jona was voted for massively in 2011 and now we all cant wait for him to go back to otuoke. Its cuz in 2011 we judged him (they-cuz i knew he had notin to offer just after he was sworn in as acting prez) to have smtin positive to give to nigerians, but after 5+ yrs,its same rubbish. Jonathan cannot therefore sell his empty words to us,we hv the power to decide who gets a 2nd chance and we refuse to be taken down that path again. So......lets hear the great words of aspiring leaders that we perceive have smtin to offer n give them an opport to lead us tru the right path.....if they don't,of cuz we have power to show them the door with our votes. Thats y 2terms of 4yrs each remains best for our democracy as against a single 6yr option which was being clamoured for. |
