Borno State deputy governor, Alhaji Zannah Umar Mustapha has said that no northerner in his or her right senses would vote for PDP in the 2015 general elections owing to what he described as the party’s inability to demonstrate good leadership in the country.
According to him, the Jonathan led PDP government was nothing but an empty vessel, which cannot give Nigeria the needed leadership, particularly at a time when the nation was facing serious insecurity challenges.

“Any northerner who votes for PDP in the next round of election is not supposed to be called a northerner because such a person is a disgrace to the north. We would do everything within our power as government to ensure we retake local government areas under the control of insurgents since the military and the Federal government has failed to do so”, the deputy governor said.

One too many a time these people make statements and lounge in their homes while youths fight over what they say, how sad how uneducated some of our youths are.

But, unfortunately....Nigerians do not vote for leaders based on ideas, and ideals. Nigerians have no time for such detailed discussions. No....it is tribe and religion.

This particular deputy governor cannot properly articulate why the North should vote for the APC because he has never been forced by his people....to think about such matters. All that is left is tribal bigotry.

Oh well....it isn't the fault of the politicians....it is the fault of Nigerians who love their empty vessel politics....so long as they see the kudi....

Good state police costs a lot of money....which is mainly why they are opposed. They know Abuja won't fund it should it be set up. Plus....many Northern states have tribal and religious crisis....and the last thing they need is a potentially biased state police to sort them out.....recipie for crisis.

That's why.

Our politicians are not helping our democracy by making such polarizing statements, and such statement is really killing our political development. GEJ, Buhari, almost all famous politicians do this and it is really sad.
