Updating the house as promised on my journey. I submitted my online application on the 3rd of December, and booked my interview at teleperformance, Churchgate2 at Victoria Island for the 10th of December. I got there in good time(with almost half an hour to spare) and was ushered into the ground floor lobby for initial documents checks. Straightaway problem number one was discovered which was the "FINANCIAL REQUIREMENT FORM APPENDIX 2". I was told I had to go and get it since the appointment could not hold without it. I quickly dashed out to about 2 streets away to an internet cafe where I printed 18 pages of the form at 50 naira a page and 150 naira for internet time. I then went back to Churchgate2, and found a shade where I sat on a tree stump and used a chair handed over to me by a kind orange seller as a makeshift desk(my wife would have cracked up silly if she saw me). I promptly filled up the form, and went straight back to teleperformance where I was finally asked to go to the first floor where teleperformance was. At the first floor, I was asked for my appointment letter(sent to your registered email address after online payment) which I provided, and was allowed in through the first set of security doors. Got into the first lobby and was ushered through the metal detector and asked to go to the receptionist to confirm my details. The receptionist took my application form, asked me a question from my printed out application form(something about what my preferred address was) which I answered and then I was told...YOU HAVE AN INTERVIEW TODAY! Interesting since I wasn't expecting one but I had no issues with an Interview since everything was as it should be. Was ushered In through, yet again, another set of security doors which led me to the waiting lobby. I saw my name under "WAITING" so I sat tight. There are 6 booths and I was ushered into one of them. The gentleman was polite but asking some obvious profiling questions which struck me like he had received instructions. Oh well, I answered truthfully anyway! The documents collected from me at the VAC were
1. A copy of the online application form
2. My international passport
3. Sponsorship declation form from my wife
4. Financial requirements t form appendix 2
5. Photocopy of my international passport(whuch was returned back to me stapled to the document received acknowledgement form)

I had to post my other documents( which I thought was required) back to my wife in the UK I.e TB TEST, MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE, ENGLISH TEST.
To cut the long story short, I did my biometric, had an interview which lasted about 10 minutes and was ushered out. So the waiting game begins and as promised Lexusgs430, I will provide updates to help future applicants know what is expected of them, and what to expect. God bless!

Recent experiences on this forum have suggested that once the documents are sent back that the decision follows shortly after. It's difficult to b general with how they manage these applications but I would expect that your spouse should get a notification to collect his passport soon.

Hi, i just need some comments and advice on this issue.. i am currently in the Uk, i came to study for a Msc programme which lapsed in March and had visa which expired in July. But i applied for a Tier 4 Visa extension before my current visa expired unfortunately the college got suspended as at the time of putting in my application consequently my application was kept on hold. Again i was caught up with the 28days rule(days between when your current visa expires and the start of the new course). After awhile i was issued a refusal letter stating that the CAS letter i submitted was invalid because the college licence was eventually revoked and also the 28 day rule ARTICLE. I was given the right of appeal which the hearing was held today, the H/O's solicitor said all sorts of things even mentioning that the Judge should upheld the HO'S because the Uk government is trying to reduce immigration. In short i wasn't well pleased with what transpired in court as i await the decision of the Judge but i have a GF which we have been staying together for some good months, she meets the FINANCIAL REQUIREMENT, could provide 6 months payslips, Council letter in our names, rent agreement in our names, utility bills in our names, individual bank letter showing the same address, several pictures with friends.

INTENTIONS I pray that the Judge instructs the HO to grant me 60days letter so as to submit a fresh CAS and application then after which we get married in the UK

The lady in question is from one of these African countries but now a citizen of Uk, she intends to travel to Africa for holiday nextweek and will be back in the Uk by late January. Should i go ahead and get married to her in a registry at her Africa country(court wedding alone for now as we need to raise money for the big wedding ceremony)? My worry is that won't the HO claim that i was denied a tier4 visa some few months back and now applied for a settlement visa within some few months after. what are my chances of being granted the settlement visa if i apply
...NOTE: MY TIER4 APPLICATION WAS REFUSED SOMETIME IN OCTOBER AND I INTEND TO SUBMIT A SETTLEMENT VISA APPLICATION IN JANUARY

After divorce he still own this particular mortgage to himself as his ex has others
He has been d one paying on the mortgage ,d bills,and all since divorse,all kids were giving to him from court as well.he has all payment receipts over 8yrs.and all papers pertaining to d house
Pls justwise, girlflo and everyone who can help.
Is it save to use this accommodation as where I will be in my application.if no what can I do.this is d only thing holding me back.

@girlfio, I got a mail that my passport would be dispatched shortly ystday but Wld be sent to Abuja Vac.can I go to Abuja tomorrow Or can I request for it to be sent to Lagos Vac. And also Pls do anyone know How far Abuja airport is to the tlscontact processing centre. also is there an email Or telephone number to confirm if the passport has gotten to the Abuja Vac. thnks

Assuming you are applying for a settlement visa, not having your sponsors name on a residential property (mortgaged or renting), is a bad idea.
How can he prove that he has an accommodation to house you (documentary - wise)?
Removing his name from the mortgage deed, due to adverse credit, is an explanation I do not understand(not unless he faced impending bankruptcy and removed his name from the mortgage, before the bankruptcy application was filed).
He is also paying a mortgage that is not in his name. What would stop his ex-wife, claiming the property in the future?
I think you need to consider your present document arrangements carefully !!!!!
NB: My recommendation : Get the person that the mortgage is in her name to write him a tenancy agreement (do not fake it)(hopefully, they are in talking terms and have a cordial relationship).

However, even though he is not legal owner of the house, does he not have rights under a trust because he is contributing to the purchase price by paying the mortgage b4& after divorce d ex have not been paying but him for so long years. meaning that some of the house is his,cant he assert this right by stating it in covering letter....

Getting a new rent somewhere else would involve all new documentations for the new rent, to support your application.
'right under a trust'? It's either his name is on the mortgage deed or not, that is a legally binding, regarding tenancy or ownership.
I would advise, he goes to a conveyancing solicitor, presents his case and sees what options are available to him.

A thought just came to my mind. Assuming you eventually get over this tenancy document and submit your application and the visa is granted. You arrive in the United Kingdom, how long would you live in the present house with your hubby?
Would you be happy contributing towards a mortgage,while having no equity in the property? (and yes in the uk, the wife contributes one way or the other) If your hubby decides that you both go and buy your own property, I can just see his ex-wife walk in or stroll in and claim her house (he has no share in equity of the property).
You see how this case can quickly transform into something else !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No. He is not sharing the house with his ex, they have been apart & divorsed several yrs back.
Only my hubby and the 2kids they had together stay/live in the house since several yrs till now.
