Early twenties... that's anything before 25 right?

Okay good. I'm 26 and I've got a son (I hope these NL babes won't read this).

Now, your wife should be younger than you, let's say 24 or there
about. She's richer than you right? You guys can apply for visa
for honeymoon now.

BUT, have you two traveled together before?

~ Sheyi
lol at the babes part, Yea she is a little bit younger than me, the problem here is that she does not like traveling out of the country at all which would make this ish more stressfull for me, if not we both would have travel to south together your advice have been very helpful boss and I will always keep them in mind

The problem always come from lack of interpretation of questions. A little error and your money's goes into the air.

For the benefit of doubt, any contrary statement(s) to information contained in your filled DS-160, is going to be a likely refusal.

Most CO(s), not all, do not have the patience to ask for further clarifications. Always listen very attentively to questions!

Next time you attend that interview, your designation is ''Material Engineer'' the next questions will be what you do as a ''Material Engineer'' which is ''handling material personnel matters''.
Hope this is the case since in the real world, that is how it is?

Always listen attentively and be calm, not very easy due to anxiety, but it can be done.

Thanks a lot,I really apreciate your work,I will take to that.

Good day all,
I need the house guide on our next application to USA which will probably come up around feb1 to 12 next year. We have applied for USA visa twice before now though both with 30 days and that was to give birth in the USA in December 2013 and January 2014 but was denied, we have both travelled to the UK before the application and after the birth of our son my wife and son had gone to the UK and they spent 4 months and we are also going back to secure 2years visa for the UK as a complete family, my question what and what do the house feel we need to secure a visiting visa and I will be getting an invite from a friends younger brother who is presently in the country, he was the one that gave us the invitation the last time, I also I have a blood sister in the USA but I don't intend to mention her. I work but my wife runs our small private business and also manage the home front please I need to know what is required of me on filling the form DV160 and also what am not suppose to talk about my son that I wanted to go and deliver the USA will be almost 1 by the time we would be applying. I am relying on the good people in the house to help me out. thank you
Re: Usa Visit Visa by NomadicNaija: 8:39pm On Dec 10, 2014
@Wunmi38. I think one person should apply first, instead of whole family applying once. What ties will you be providing if you all apply together and the whole family travelling at same time with your previous U.S visa application in mind.

I learnt a lot from this thread before my application and interview, I want to give back by sharing
I think that confidence is key, and favour too. I also think that the US Embassy pays a lot of attention to travel experience, especially for those going for tourism. So I advise first time vacationers to visit other countries first before trying the US. This is just my opinion

If I'm the VO, I will surely give you the visa as well.

With such travel experience, you're good to go.

What helped you is that he already checked your ppt
and saw your travel history before he called on you.
You also have a very good job!

Though, travel history or not, if one is lucky, USA visa
can be granted.

If these people can check one's travel history on ppt
before interview, maybe it will help a lot.

C'grats and buy ..... pizza for me when coming smiley

Hi, pls i will be applying for visa for me and my wife this december. I want to know the following;

1. Must i be invited by someone before i can apply for tourist visa? what if i want to go on my own without invite from anybody, what is the implication of this?

2. Must i lodge money in my account for this purpose? this is because i dont keep money in my salary account that i am going to present. If I must how much should it be?

3. I work in telecom and my wife also works with FG, though we are not applying for our 2 children that we are going to leave behind here while on holiday.

4. My expired passports where used to travel to countries such as Zimbabwe, South Africa, Kenya and a UK visa that expired without my using it, should I attach the expired passports to my new passports in order to show that i had travel to some places before now.

Expecting responses

Re: Usa Visit Visa by oolumide: 5:21pm On Dec 11, 2014
If i am applying for me and my wife, should we both get introduction letter from our different offices or 1 will suffice for the two of us.
Re: Usa Visit Visa by NomadicNaija: 5:24pm On Dec 11, 2014
1. You do not need to be invited before you make a tourist visa application. There is no implication if you go without an invite.

2. You need to show proof that you will have the finances to cover your trip with left over balances in your account after returning from trip. Lump sum deposit into your account for this purpose will negate your travel intentions. Cash flow in and out of your account is what matters most not lump sum deposit.

3. You have the option to apply with your wife leaving your kids behind if you are able to show strong ties to your home country. If your ties is not that strong enough to your home country, I will suggest you apply alone while using your wife, kids and job you have as ties to your home country. or your wife applies alone using you, kids and her job as ties to your home country. Once one of you have secured visa and returned from trip then kids with (wife or hubby) as it applies will apply at a later time. Provided you don't abuse your visa. No need for rush. Your paper work, ties to your home country needs to be in order.
Re: Usa Visit Visa by NomadicNaija: 5:30pm On Dec 11, 2014
Sure you will be submitting your old passports with your new one during application. Shows your travel history which is relevant.

Thanks for your responses,

I thought with my wife job with Federal govt and combine income of 10m plus and leaving kids behind in Nigeria should show enough strong ties, what do you think. Wify once schooled in early life in canada, but does not have the passport anymore, outside that the only other country she has been to is Kenya on holiday.
Re: Usa Visit Visa by NomadicNaija: 7:47pm On Dec 11, 2014
@oolumide. The number of years she has been in the Job matters a lot more than the money. All depends on how you arrange your paper work plus your leaving kids behind. If that is the option you have chosen.

Am aware of someone with no job, little money but strong ties ( leaving wife and kids behind) plus well arranged paper work. Got B1/B2 Visa.

Note: Arranged paper work here means documents showing you have reasons to return.

I can answer this from personal experience. Ist time I applied, I was unmarried, no travel experience. I said I wanted to go for vacation with my mum who already had a visa. I was denied without much ado in less than 20 seconds.
My advice? The daughter should prepare for her interview well and sahow strong ties. Her mum can offer no leverage whatsoever
Re: Usa Visit Visa by wunmi38: 11:00pm On Dec 12, 2014
I wish to know if truly its a bad idea to apply along with my wife and son. I am applying from my own house and I also have another property and have been working in a financial institution for over 9 years I don't know what other deep connection can I have with my country.

Please I need to know what other information or steps is expected from me so we can all apply together, I work outside Lagos and I only arrange a weekend that will make get a Monday morning say 6.30am for me to get the interview and also get back to work same day, that is the reason I wish its possible for me to get the interview done and over with the same day.
thank you
