For anything that your man is no longer using that's just hanging around, that he REFUSES to throw away; there's a sentimental reason. Any bracelet, hat, etc. If it came from her and he doesn't want to let it go, he still hasn't let her go.

#2 Still has a "If you ever need me, just call me" friendship.
No, this is NOT okay!!! We're not speaking generally of friends of the opposite sex, we're talking Exes. Ex Lover, Ex confidant, Ex ride-or-die. If that ex still has access to your man at any moment she needs him, then he never stopped belonging to her in the first place.

#3 Knows her relationship status change within one week of it happening.
Facebook makes this one tricky, but not really. The lengths he would've gone to let go of an ex he was serious with were pretty drastic, including a severed social media connection. So there's NO reason your man should be updated on the relationship status change of his ex the moment it happens. That should've lost relevancy to him the moment he committed to you.

#4 Hates her for the heartache she caused him.
We've been hurt. All of us. But once we're truly over the person who hurt us, we have a sense of gratitude for the lesson we don't have to learn ever again. We can be done with them, never want to talk to them again, but we don't hate them. For we know that the opposite of love isn't hate, it's apathy. Hate is just love in denial.

#5 He brings up what they did together.
a current relationship is no time to reminisce on the "good ol days" with the ex. If he's not more concerned with making new memories, that's a huge red flag.

#6 If he ever refers to her new man as her "Little boyfriend"
Just listen out for this one. The resentment may come in other forms like "Yeah, whatever his name is" even once he knows the guys name. Maybe insulting comparisons about "But he's got nothing on me". All of the references to her ex should be at minimum respectful to dismissive all together.
