What Did Buhari Do For The South East As Head Of State And PTF Chairman? by Collynzo9: 8:15am On Dec 14, 2014 |
With the 2015 elections drawing nearer, people have been trying to blackmail the south east into voting their preferred candidate by claiming that the incubent President did nothing for the region. The issue of what he did or didn't do has been dealt with severally, so no point going into that now. The questions that have not been asked are: What did Buhari do for the South east as Head of state for 2 years? What projects did Buhari site in the South east as PTF chairman for 6 years? 24 Likes |

Goodluck has not done much which I feel disappointed with him and I may not vote for him ok, but one singular thing he did was the upgrading of Akanu Ibiam Airport to International airport, this is an act that no past leader could do, all the geopolitical zones had an intl airport except South East, does it not show marginalization, to make south east incapacitated economically. 13 Likes |

Buhari does not even know that there are Human Beings in the South East. He thinks that South Easterners prefer to live in the forest. No thanks to THINGS FALL APART. Buhari is not a candidate that should even be considered by any South Easterner for presidency. Shame on ROCHAS Okorocha and other EFULEFUS. 22 Likes 2 Shares |

@OP. Buhari did absolutely nothing for the SE and SW. Now kindly take your vote and that of your family to the camp of the man who has totally destroyed Nigeria for the past five years and spare us these pathetic threads most Nigerians are now tired of and in no mood for as we look forward to change and the chance to vote out the ultra-corrupt Jonathan who has damaged Nigeria immeasurably . In case you do not know, most Nairalanders and Nigerians have worked out the tactics of people like you. You are ethnically and religiously devoted to GEJ even as you know in your heart he has failed woefully, is totally out of his depth and has brought misery to every corner of Nigeria. Because you know Jonathan has no record to run on the only option open to you and his other ethnocentric devotees is to present the "People's General" as a candidate Nigerians should run from. It will not work. Rather you are all making Buhari more popular with your dishonest attempt to malign his character and political personality. As for the cheap attempt to whip up ethnocentric sentiments amongst those now viewed the 'gamechanger', i.e the SW, it will not work. A piece of factual information for you. Did you know that the SW delegates gave Buhari almost 100% of their vote at the recent APC presidential Primaries and would not be swayed the slightest by any amount of money on offer? Go and reflect on that reality instead of coming here with your cheap attempt to rope the SW into the blanket hatred of Buhari afflicting you and yours. The SW already knows who it will vote for so stop wasting your own time. 24 Likes 1 Share |

Hardheolar: Indeed. As if we do not know the OP's crude and unintelligent ploy is a thinly-veiled attempt to make the SW electorate, i.e the decisive 'kingmaking' voters in the upcoming election, reject Buhari. The OP should take a hint from how the character assassination against Buhari that the PDP has never relented on had totally no effect on the Yoruba delegates who gave Buhari virtually 100% of their support at the just concluded APC Primaries. Desperation and frustration will kill those who are too ethno-religiously devoted to Jonathan to accept the truth and reality of the day which is that many are now totally fed up of the ultra-corrupt, highly callous, brazenly anti-people and totally inept GEJ. The reality is that Nigerians are ready to embrace the change Buhari represents. Nothing can change this. Jonathan had his chance over 5 long years but failed ordinary Nigerians miserably and only managed to create a corruption paradise for his cronies of private jet-loving looters. 5 Likes |

chamboy: I was being sarcastic. Of course I know that Buhari worked for the entire Nation. Yet what is the point wasting time showing this to the OP who is an ethnocentric devotee of GEJ? Would you waste your time telling a ku Klux Klan supremo or white power supremacist that black people are not all thugs, criminals and a "waste of space"? Is it today people like the OP have been stretching reality in the desperate effort to make Buhari appear someone the electorate should reject? We are now at the 'business end' of things with election only two months away. This is not the time to be entertaining the mischief of the OP and his kind with serious responses. They are not serious people and do not deserve serious responses to their very obvious attempt at anti-Buhari deceit and mischief. They are enemies of progress blindly devoted to GEJ and with zero interest in what is best for the majority of Nigerians. Take them seriously at your own peril. 10 Likes |

The various programmes nationwide were never designed to favour any particular geopolitical zone. That is why as at May 1999 out of the estimated N187 billion committed to all projects and programmes, over 56 per cent was allocated on projects in southern zones in the SouthWest, SouthEast and South South. In comparison, the Northern zone of the NorthWest, North Central, NorthEast shared the remaining 44 percent of the projects. The highest zonal contribution of 26.2 per cent to the south south was due to the difficult terrain, which made road construction more expensive. m.allafrica.com/stories/200304150109.html/ 3 Likes |

Policy The fund's policy of awarding contracts and consultancies helped to boost human capital, particularly in healthcare and education. This helped to serve as a catalyst for equitable distribution of income and empowerment of the middle class. Service sector players, mainly consultancies, banking and insurance, benefited immensely from opportunities given to participate in project implementation. Before it was scrapped the following were under PTF's direct employment: consulting firms 622, contractors, manufacturers and suppliers 4169, other professional 15,145 and other non professional 416,435. The Fund was able to develop a corp of motivated and result- oriented professionals who made it possible for quarterly reports to be produced. Till date there is no agency of government that has produced audited reports of operations. m.allafrica.com/stories/200304150109.html/ 3 Likes |

Gbawe:Your hypocrisy stinks to high heavens. You are the one that posted this just yesterday. Gbawe:You have no problem telling the people of the south east not to vote for GEJ because he has failed them but you get your fûcking nickers in a twist when the same logic is used for Buhari. Why do you cry every time people are asked not to vote for your god Buhari, but have no problem asking people not to vote for Jonathan? I have no interest in who the South west or Yorubas votes for, but as long as you and your likes continue your cheap blackmail at getting Igbos to vote for your preferred candidate, we will continue to turn your logic right back at you. As for your game changer crap, it is just what you tell yourselves to feel happy, there is no such thing as that. The South west gave GEJ a meagre 2.7 million (the second lowest of all regions) votes the last time but he still won with a landslide because he was able to amass 20 million from other regions. So stop deceiving yourself, you are no game changer. 21 Likes 1 Share |
