Democracy at work. Nigeria's President 2015

Buhari is an octogenarian, even though he claims to be in his mid 70s; look at him closely. Nearly all Nigerians born before birth registration started swear affidavits of age that brings down their age, do u know?.

In short, APC made a mistake in choice of Buhari who carries a lot of political problems. Atiku would have given shoeless Jonah a big fight for his money.

By the way, who is sure that Jagaband Bola did not deliberately support Buhari to make shoeless Jonah win?

You're right , indeed very very right, Atiku is corrupt, but he has decided to change for good, even, Christ was crucified with two thieves, the one on the right repented. That is Change, Christ best friends on earth were sinners, not the scribe and Pharisees.
If only people like Babatope and Doyin Okupe will stop deceiving themselves and GEJ, like Atiku, the better it will be for us all. GMB can't do it alone, he needs us to assist, I will start by giving him my vote, because he is a man of honour and integrity.

Nigeria: Abacha Never Stole, Say Buhari, Babangida

This Day (Lagos) 9 JUNE 2008

By Ibrahim Shuaibu

Kano — The late military Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, did not loot the national treasury contrary to the general impression, two military former heads of state have said.

Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, who ruled Nigeria between 1983 and 1985, and his successor, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, gave Abacha the clean bill in Kano yesterday after the rememberance prayers marking 10 years of the death of Abacha, who ruled between 1993 and 1998.

http://allafrica.com/stories/200806090008.html

NB: Remember that Abacha's loot made international headlines and the regime known worldwide as the most corrupt so far in Africa. Buhari was the de-facto Head-of-State for Abacha regime as ever sick Abacha was a mere figure head then.

allAfrica.com: Nigeria: Buhari Calls for Sharia in All States

By Saxone Akhaine
Kaduna — Former Head of State, Gen. Mohammadu Buhari at the weekend, tookstock of Sharia implementation in some northern states and concludedthat the Islamic legal system has restored sanity in the affectedstates.

Buhari, who only recently attracted much criticisms over an allegedstatement to the effect that Moslems in the country should vote foronly fellow Moslems in future elections, pledged to commit himself tothe full implementation of the law in Nigeria.

He also asserted that even critics, the Federal government inclusiveis satisfied with the level of internal security in Zamfara State, where the legal code is in full swing.

For the Moslems, the ertswhile ruler stated that the introduction ofSharia has united and enabled them to regain what they lost to thecolonialists and other external forces .

To avoid friction with non-Moslems however, Buhari advocated anenlightenment campaign through persuasion to assist them grasp theworkings of Sharia.

The former head of state who was the special guest of honour at thefirst yearly National Convention of the Supreme Council for Sharia inNigeria (SCSN), held at the Arewa House, Kaduna, urged Moslems to bebold in their efforts to ensure that the Islamic jurisprudence isrooted in all the 36 states of the federation.

"For Moslems in Nigeria as I mentioned at other, occasions, at leasttwice, we were overrun by the colonialists and our way of life wasdrastically changed... And one of the things we lost for beingoverrun by the colonialists is for us to be denied the freedom topractice our religion as it is or as it was and as it has alwaysbeen. But, God in his infinite mercy brought this independence backto us through a democratic system of government."

Buhari further said that "what remains for Moslems in Nigeria is forthem to redouble the necessary education," stressing that they shouldeducate Moslems on the need to promote the full implementation ofSharia in the country; "and there is nothing to be afraid of."

"It is a legal responsibility God has given us within the context ofone Nigeria to continue to uphold the practice of Shariawholeheartedly... and to educate non-Moslems that they have nothingto fear, because the biggest fear of Nigerians are three insecuritiesthat I identified a very long time ago."

Buhari traced the insecurity in the country to the door-step of theFederal Government which he accused of failing to put crime undercontrol.

Said he: "In regard to physical insecurity, the government has failedin this respect to do the two basic and fundamental things for allpersons within a state, particularly the protection of life andproperty."

Though he did not disclose the foreign powers that are frustratingSharia implementation nationwide, he advised his audience not torelent on the education of their fellow Moslems.

"I believe education is the most difficult one because of the forcesoutside that are insisting that Moslems in Nigeria should not beallowed to raise their heads, which to me is not the ideal thing."

Buhari continued: "This is the sacrifice the Moslems will have tomake and persuade their fellow country men who are non-Moslems toaccept. I will continue to show openly and inside me, the totalcommitment to Sharia movement that is sweeping all over Nigeria, Godwilling, we will not stop the agitation for the total implementationof the Sharia in the country".

In his contribution, Niger State Governor Alhaji Abdulkadir Kurestated that the 1999 Constitution gave the various states theopportunity to upgrade their various laws saying that "this has nowbecome history."

"At the beginning, it was objected to vehemently by others. Today, even the Federal Government has conceded to the fact that all whatthe states have done is within the ambit of the laws."

Kure urged the officials of the council to ensure that the basicobjectives of the legal code are achieved all over Nigeria.

The event was attended by the former Minister of Agriculture, AlhajiSani Zango Daura, Emir of Suleja, Alhaji Awwal Ibrahim, representatives of governments of Kano, Zamfara, Kaduna, Kebbi andSokoto states.

There were also Islamic scholars from Imo, Enugu, Jigawa, Plateau,Niger, and Borno states.

All am concern about is anything that will stop cluelessness at the federal level. Because I just can't withstand another four years of kidnapping of our school children, I can't withstand another four years of killing of innocent graduates who paid heavily to get a job only to be killed, I can't withstand another four years of economic quagmire and misappropriation of our common wealth, I can't withstand another four years of honouring criminals and murderers. I can't withstand another four years of health workers strike and school strikes. I can't withstand another four years of decay infrastructural facilities, I can't withstand another four years of long queue at filling stations to buy fuel at a higher price. So we need a change and that change is MUHAMMADU BUHARI.
