Morning Guys! Its good to be back here after a long break kiss i will be traveling to Canada by January and will like to a question, pls is there any document needed at the POE except my admission letter? Saw guys talking about Letter of Introduction. Pls any info as to go about this?
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by vicarsenal(m): 7:44am On Dec 15, 2014
LENGTH OF STAY
Well from the above I can guess you'll need to draft a new and powerful SOP.
Do you have both PGD and MSc admissions at the same time?
Cos if you are going for PGD den I believe ur adding MSc is like a red flag that you won't come back after your program.

HOME TIE TO NIGERIA
Submit your parents landed properties documents like deed of agreement, c of o, survey plan etc
If you are married add your wedding certificate
If you have a child add his/her birth certificate
Professional license or membership certs
Voters card
Drivers license
Your own bank account
Shares certificate
Any investment in Nigeria etc

TRAVEL HISTORY
you can't do anything about that

EMPLOYMENT SITUATION

Add your employment letter,
Study leave approval letter
Your salary account statement
Your work id

Which School are u heading to and program? What's the duration too

hello guys. these are the documents i submitted.
1) letter of introduction from my company(reference letter)
2) statement of financial support, mine. (i am sponsoring myself)
3) gtb fixed deposit certificate.
4) first bank savings account statement.
5) gtb savings account statement.
6) letter of reference from first bank.
7) letter of admission, pgd, from fanshawe college.
8.) original waec certificate.
9) university statement of result.
10) nysc certificate
11) my parents wedding certificate.
12) my birth certificate
13) my younger brothers birth certificate.
14) police clearance.
15) colored photocopy of my fathers national ID card.
16) colored photocopy of my mothers national ID card.
17) about three forms, which seem to have been filled online, printed out by my agent. i think they were filled from the canada website. one had a barcode.
18) my international passport.
thanks guys.

@vicarsenal. it is fanshawe college. pgd. and the duration is a year. no i did not get admission to study pgd and msc at the same time. just pgd. however the agent, who wrote the SOP, did state that 'my long term goal is to reach the pinnacle of my profession by attaining management level in the next four years'.. if that could be a problem? i could even scan the whole letter and email to you?. i am not married, and i dont have kids. however my father has a house of his own. i did not add any of his land or work documents. i only did what my agent requested from me. and for the work part, it was only letter of reference that i used. i didnt add the work ID. study leave approval etc. and i dont even work there anymore now.

Good morning to you all.

So i need a little advise here, i am about to re apply and my sponsor said she just did a one month fixed deposit 2 wks ago.
i intended to tell her to print her statement up till a day before the fixed deposit but at a second taught, i realized that it would look fishy to print a statement up till say 03/12/14 while the bank stamp would carry today's date 15/12/14. ( it might feel like hiding something on the days that weren't printed up to the current date).

So my options are:
1. Print statement till date and see if i can get a letter to cover the duration/ maturity of the fixed deposit

2. Wait til january when the fixed deposit clears then print the statement and apply.

I know people here have be given TRVs with fixed deposit but i was refused when i applied with treasury bills hence my reason to be weary of Fixed deposit.

Take God beg una for advise.
Thank you

More opinion please guys

Hello guys. i had been waiting and waiting to be called for medicals. i only just checked my cic page last week and saw that my documents had been sent back to nigeria. and i went to pick it late last week. bottom line a denial. these where the things ticked. that i had not been able to convince them of my return back to nigeria after the program. and these were the factors considered. my travel history( i have never travelled outside the country before). family ties in canada and in my country of residence(i have no family members in canada at all. but i did submit my parents IDs and my younger brother's birth certificate, who live here in nigeria, as instructed by my agent). length of proposed stay in canada( i wrote about this in the letter, that it was for the duration of my pgd and then masters), limited employment prospects in my country of residence ( well, i am a nigerian?) and finally my current employment situation ( i did submit a letter of reference from my company!) i was very shocked and disappointed but i plan to apply again as soon as possible. i would really need yall gurus help so i dont make any mistakes this time cos i dont plan to use an agent again. thanks in advance guys.
The almighty personal assets and financial status was not ticked. Cool. Tackling the above stated reasons, is not difficult. Travel history to me, is just a formality.
For hometie, u can use ur work too...
length of proposed stay, ought to be on ur acceptance letter. For job prospects, u havent convinced the v.o how marketable ur course if study is...

I will suggest u pay more attention here(the thread)... it is something u can do easily. Agents do guess work. grin... when did you apply?

God ain't sleeping

@standupguy As long as it's not more than 30days old when you're submitting the app, they have no reason to be that investigative. But like I always suggest, these guys probably have a way of verifying the account status during the processing period. So even if the bank stamp is the same day as the closing balance date, I don't think it's just that closing balance that will be used to evaluate the account. So whether you decide to wait it out or not, just ensure the account is well-funded throughout the processing period.

The money in that account just sits there, as my sponsor works in a bank too and has no time for other business. She only does fixed deposits and treasury which empties into the same account.
She didn't give that account for my first app.

How would u print a statement of account on 3/12/2014 and stamp it 15/12/2014 date,if u r the VO what would think? Put yourself in the position of the VO when making application...morever waiting till jan for the fixed deposit to mature won't make ur application late, instead of rushing and raising red flag for urself...

I was never considering doing that, it's between Applying with the current statement/ fixed deposit or waiting till January when the fixed deposit matures into the account.

@ Inkblood...don't know how much u presented in SOA? will advice u get a co-sponsor...Is like the course u r going for is not related to ur work experience?...in ur next application add ur employment details, plus landed properties, that will tackle the issue of current employment and personal asset ...tackling the issue of travel history, length of proposed stay and limited employment prospects in ur country all should be addressed in ur SOP,if u have a business plan u can add it...and please let no agent write SOP for u,take a look @ pchax SOP @ part 6 page 495,pm me so i can send u mine,so with the two u can forge a way forward in ur SOP...pls don't add that u will proceed for M.Sc after PGD in ur SOP..u wil be fine.
