A few questions that should get the process going. Whatever business you're pitching should probably be more than just an idea.

7. What’s the market like? What key assumptions about your market have you validated?

10. Describe how the investment you seek will help you lunch a product.

Threads like this gives room to scammers to rip off gullible ones on nairaland. I feel the best way to know someone with a genuine business proposition is to have him present an executive summary of his business plan. This will make it difficult for scammers to sweet talk any one here.

A shop will limit ur potential. Businesses are going mobile these days and those who aint mobile spend a lot on marketing their products or services. Bottomline is, u don't need a shop. What u need is a network of potential customers.

Am here to offer advice and guide lines on start up for those who wish to start in but have no clue of where to begin. Am vast in SME from conceptualization, funding to management.

Why not sell one plot and use the proceeds to start up ur poultry?

What u can do is to start off mobile, when u get up to half of the investment for the shop, u'll find som1 who will help u with the remaining half of the money for d shop business. When dat is done, u hire girls dat'll b working for u and they will also work for ur customers who are far away, u'll jst tell dem to go deliver.

lol.. there are more to this Angel Investing than you people know, especially when it comes to Tech Startups. anyway, experience is the best teacher. but the simple advise here is, when signing Terms of Investment agreement, go with a lawyer, don't go with the lawyer ur investor brought. Thank God i experienced all this at an early stage of my life.

also note that an Investor can intelligently take over ur business through paper works and agreements you signed by a term, of which you were ignorant of its real meaning.

I'm just another graduate that have passion and dream to go into oil business. Everything is set and should the business by January next year but the problem is that me and my partner need more financial assistance. As we are talking now the name of the company has been registered and we already has our little capital to start but it's not enough. U don't sound genuine o, mention all what u need, u myt be lucky to find som1 that will help u. Don't tie it all up in2 financial assistance. Also its nt by weda d company name has been registered. U dint say anything about the location of ur proposed company, or how u gona payback the person that's gona help u. U can only get help if u go formal about it and not by begging.

Pls don't discourage young entrepreneur who don't v enuf money to start,import n save ur proceeds to invest in local production of goods to export....9jA an exporting nation not there yet !

All u need do is give a pitch bout ur business. A short feasible pitch is enough to attract an investor without u divulging great details bout ur idea. Without a pitch no one will be interested in contactn u.
