The South African National Defense Force is reportedly considering selling off its Gripen fighter planes and its Agusta A109 helicopters as it has no money to operate them.

According to a Beeld report, the South African Air Force's 18 Agusta helicopters were occasionally enabled but the craft did not ascend.

Due to military budget cuts, the 26 Gripen fighters purchased in the controversial arms deal were also not being used. The report said that the SANDF was considering selling off the aircraft due to the lack of money.

Military expert Helmoed-Romer Heitman suggested that the SAAF was suffering from the state's indecision about its military expectations.

"An air force without fighter aircraft is a dead duck in Africa's military context. An army without helicopters and transport aircraft is a dinosaur in a swamp," he was quoted as saying in an IOL report.

"An army without attack and tactical transport helicopters is a lame duck. A navy without helicopters and maritime patrol planes is blind."

2013 report, but it clearly proves my point.

we all know these SA goons here are just talking for patriotic reasons. the real experts keep revealing the reality. so sad for the SALoanDF

Łucznik-Radom Firearms Factory [Fabryka Broni Łucznik-Radom] will supply a batch of 1000 Beryl M762 7,62 mm Carbines to the Nigerian Armed Forces. The weaponry is to be used, among other purposes, for counter-terrorism tasks and by soldiers taking part in peacekeeping operations.
Scope of the agreement implemented by the Radom-based company includes delivery of 1000 examples of the firearms, along with the maintenance kits and training bundle for the soldiers of the Nigerian Land Forces. The carbines are to be transferred to Nigeria in mid-January 2015.

At the moment, Nigerian Army soldiers participate in a training programme in Radom. The Łucznik facility press services stress the fact that the contract has been preceded with a series of successful test programme that checked the capabilities of the carbine.

Another contract is planned to be signed – this time a batch of 5000 Beryl carbines is to be delivered to Nigeria. The firearms which are the subject of the present contract will be used as a counter-terrorism measure. The weaponry will also be transferred to the peacekeeping forces.

In accordance with the information provided by the Łucznik company, this is the first time ever Beryl carbines have been sold outside the Polish Borders. President Tomasz Nita claims that “commercial activities, in country and abroad” are being realized, and the manufactured armament will be offered to other armed forces as well.

don't equate Nigeria's budget with yours nor equate GDP per capita as being rich, Nigerian oil producing states get their revenue outside budget. Right now, Nigeria is the richest country on the continent, if you can't swallow it, go and die!

We have proven it a million times that Nigeria has a budget of $29 billion while SA has a budget of over $100 billion... and also we have 3 times less the population.

Nigeria has a national budget of only 2 South African departments

Desperation occurs when more than 3 of every 5 Nigerians poop in public, no toilets for them.

Below is one of the 100million Nigerians that poop outside
