This is a truth that hardly any under-30 female can grasp no matter how they tried. Their brains aren't just wired to understand that men aren't as foolish as they appear. A man may play a fool just because all he wants with u is a fling. But when a man thinks marriage, he KNOWS he doesn't want to be stuck for life with a decorative piece of liability. Except of course you're considering men with hardly any resolve who take marriage lightly and don't value vows. Such men can marry u, but that's because they know they too have little or nothing to offer in d way of real commitment. That's why u hear of a thousand-n-one divorces in a month. And u hear of men who still sleep around as they used to do before marriage.

I'm not lying dude. I'm just telling you what our girls are up to. They are moved by the amount of flashy things they see. It's so bad cos this habit will just be depriving them the potential suitors.

Onyi, I am not justifying it and besides, I was saying it with a light touch.
What I was trying to say is that the human instinct to escape poverty is highest among people who've lived in poverty. They use any means necessary, including looking for wealthy spouses (doesn't make it right though).

I'm curious because I don't remember girls being motivated by cars and such stuff back when I was at the university. In fact, most girls would just date their campus boyfriends, most of whom had nothing much in terms of material possessions. No girl seemed to have a problem with their boyfriends then.

Was that 18th century? Cos as much as history has revealed, girls from 19th century have been more of material possession than anything else. That's why in today, girls hardly have student boyfriend. They rather dance around sugar daddies or except few male students who are financially strong to some extent.

I never said it doesnt happen...thus i conditioned it in my earlier post that "the few financially strong enough to some extent". Girls seem not to even understand that a guy is a student (not a worker or earning some money elsewhere) but they'll keep bombarding the guy with financial needs like the guy committed a crime by asking them out. Those who are strong to uphold this financial obligations stay, while those who cannot quit the relationship. All attributed to "material possession".
