While i have nothing against President Jonathan, i think we should stop celebrating mediocrity. What we need in Nigeria is a complete system overhaul. The narrow guage line across the country need to be completely changed to a wide or standard guage. This is what is obtainable in all advanced countries.

What of State LGAs and private sector railway systems

GEJ is a joke if you don't know. This is what a country with so much oil money can come up with. Why do some set of nigerians love MEDIOCRITY. compare that scrab to this in South Africa, nonsense

so if GEJ is a joke and did this, what would you call his predecessors which includes Buhari, who should have laid these foundations a long time ago. Am not trying to exonerate GEJ because I think he could have done better.

However, if during his tenure he took on power and finalized the privatization process, took on rail road and is seriously overhauling it, took on the roads at least the federal roads and has significantly worked on them, turned around the manufacturing sector and we have companies like kia innoson and others establishing plants in Nigeria, took on agriculture and we see before our eyes a lot of young people going into agricultural ventures like catfish production, egg production, cassava production to mention a few, invested heavily in the Nigerian film industry and that industry is currently enjoying a boom and employing young people, invested heavily in education especially in the north given their backwardness educationally.

We should at least give him GEJ some credit to have done this a midst the level of decay that was prevailing when he came in. Obj both as a military and civilian president did not achieve this, other military presidents (including Buhari) did not do this even when they had the advantage of the barrel of the gun.

What I expected we should discuss is about State LGAs and Private sector railway systems
How do we think FG can do everything
It is time we should hand over this responsibility to States LGAs and the private sector.

Don't be silly! Nobody is celebrating mediocrity other than showcasing the accomplishment of a good and efficient leader. Have we not had other presidents in this country? Why didn't past leaders revive the comatose railway transportation until now? Habitual hater.

Yes that is necessary as well. But we are in a country where everything is centralized. And this structural defect of our country is one of our greatest problems apart from corruption. And this is why the federal government keeps getting most of the criticisms of our various problems. We need a change no doubt. And hope whoever wins in the next election can begin to take drastic steps at addressing these anomalies.

A picture does tell "some" truth, but GEJ cannot manage everything... Safety and security of passenger should be locally managed.
A leader must take responsibility for anything that happen under his administration, Nigeria Executives are so powerful enough for them to achieve a lot if they want to

Yes we have people who can do better, Certainly Buhari is not one of them. You can not do better when you are promising to stabilize world oil price that is beyond your control. We have seen those who did worse and left the railway in the previous comatose state, we don't want to try another failure, Buhari.
hehehe. Buhari should be handed an AK47 and send to sambisa forest.

I've always said that d best president in Nigeria to date is GEJ. I expected more from him but he's tried considering the odds against him -sabotage.
What buhari is touted to offer is to get back from' thieves' the millions stolen from Nigeria which, unfortunately, he has said recently with his mouth can't b achieved in this present democratic setting, so what will I vote for him for? to stabilize oil price?
Well GEJ is doing a good job though little, I'll give him my vote n d votes of everyone answerable to me so he can finish what he's started after all 'the devil u know is better that d acclaimed saint'.
Come 2019 I'll assess his achievement n decide if to vote pdp or not.
GEJ continue the good work, ''we who are for you are more than those who are against you''.
OP, give us more of GEJ good works, I'm so loving this!

Shame on you if you call this progress. In reality this is retrogression. These contracts are handled by government cronies, they cut the funds and give you sub standard trains and rails, but you wont see that because your lifestyle is mediocre in its best.

And what difference will that make in d present situation? What is ur point exactly, Did u ask to post pictures of the North when after the 2011 presidential elections buhari after he failed to win d presidential election ordered his northern terror squad to unleash terror on hapless and helpless innocent Christians in the north? Did he call them to order? I was an INEC presiding officer in 2011 in birnin gwari LGA in kaduna state so I was a witness, we hid for 2 days inside the hospital there just to get out alive but some corpers in katsina and bauchi were not that lucky as they were brutally hacked to death. So bro don't try to insult GEJ, buhari is worse. U want to see Pictures? Pls don't make me laugh.
Buhari unleashed and ordered his northern terror to do that and yet he walks freely, isn't it sad he can't be persecuted and charge to pay for his crime?..I still remember the president calling him patriotic Nigeria, if the president can say that, don't u think he knows more than me and u....Sometimes I wonder wat is the Job of our SSS cos if they do their job we won't all be a detective.
