AugustineAgain: "Kondor is a series of small civilian radar Earth observation satellites developed by NPO Mashinostroyeniya rocket design bureau for the Russian Defense Ministry and foreign customers" Built by a civilian design firm for the Russian military Kondor, GRAU index 14F133, is a series of earth imaging or military reconnaissance satellites developed by NPO Mashinostroyeniya for the Russian Aerospace Defence Forces and export customers. Satellites for the Russian military are designated Kondor, whilst those for export are designated Kondor-E. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kondor_(satellite) You exposed nothing but your own lack of research on the topic. South Africa now beats Nigeria in terms of reconnaissance with our ultra-advanced synthetic aperture spy satellite 2 Likes |

AugustineAgain: This guy. Its a military satellite, it holds the distinction of being russias first military radar imaging sattelight http://weebau.com/satellite/K/kondore1.htm Look dude, you can continue obsessing about a few words in one sentance that vaugly suggestes what you are saying. But the fact is, as we have shown with multiple sources - Kondor is a military satellite 2 Likes 1 Share |

AugustineAgain: lol, this post doesnt even make sense. So, the Kondor is only used by the Russian military But now its a civilian satellite because of a poorly constructed sentence? Fact of the matter is that we have a military grade ultra-advanced spy satellite - the very same one as used by the Russian military themselves But I know why augugbguguuugugugug is upset!! Nigeria's observation sattelights are 100% civilian grade!! 1 Like |

patches689: Nope South African still loses. You have poor engineering knowledge, even basic science is hard for you to understand. Mokopa itsels is a land based vehicle, tube launched missile converted to pylon line launch typed for aircraft launch. Missiles have launch convertibility by simple engineering, PL-9 air to air missile has land based version done by China. We will just ask China for slant tube configuration and we eat up all your Lynx helicopters and the Mokopa will be fuel for burning your Lynx 40km SAM Vs 10km Mokopa ATGM.....this is fun-time....kill-time....shooting practice . |

patches689: I don't care what the fvck Wikipedia says, you South Africans are known to edit Wikipedia and tell lies there at random. Any mumu can edit wikipedia today and mislead the fools that have no other source to confirm. The Russian news report says clearly that Kondor is a civilian satellite, small sized and civilian, very civilian to the core. If an air force buys civilian grade Boeing 737 jet for transport, does that make the aircraft a military grade aircraft? The Kondor is civilian grade, used by Russian Ministry Of Defence NOT Russian army, case you don't know, Ministry of defence is a civilian organization basically and run by civilians, just like Ministry of Agriculture. Kondor is a SMALL SIZED CIVILIAN SATELLITE.....if at all South Africa is the buyer, it's NOT military, spy, or recce satellite, its civilian and small sized like your under-sized brain ! mzilakazi: Nigeria has about 4 satellites currently in operation today 2014, big satellites that are controlled by 100 military officers with MSc and PhD in the control room using it for our military. We are also building a Nigerian made satellite for 2018. Today with 4 big satellites under military command and control, Nigeria is far superior to South Africa in satellite technology, I can see J.acob Zumaa in their backyard swimming pool with his 4 wives if I want to look and spy from Abuja, get it ? http://www.spacedaily.com/reports/Nigeria_to_launch_indigenous_satellite_by_2018_999.html http://beegeagle./2012/05/18/nigeria-to-launch-3-more-satellites-send-astronauts-to-space-by-2015-100-military-personnel-trained-to-man-surveillance-satellite/ .http://beegeagle./2013/02/23/high-level-nigerian-military-team-visit-national-space-research-and-development-agency-nigeriasat-x-relaying-area-imagery-to-nigerian-afisma-contingent/ http://www.vision-systems.com/articles/2011/10/nigerian-satellite-captures-high-res-images-of-salt-lake-city.html Nigeria is master over South Africa ! . |

agaugust:"poor engineering knowledge, even basic science is hard for you to understand.", thats ironic coming from someone that thinks air is more dens at higher altitude, FYI South Africa has some of the best universities in the world and 8 out of the 10 best universities in Africa are South African. Where does Nigerian universities rank on the world stage? |

Trolling Agaugust & Ilk, How were we able to conduct major exercises and Air demonstrations if we lack fuel? Who brought South Africa's deceased back home from your morgues. Mind you, morgues that did not have working fridges. They used fans! Your attempts to insult us only shows your complexes. Peace-time SAAF is better than Nigeria's airforce. Always have, always will. It'll repel any airforce in SSA and that's a fact. Your 'special forces' are about to be executed for defying orders because they lack the most basic of equipment, ammo and comms! Where in the world would you hear of such a thing? Brothers, start by issuing boots, comms & ammo to all your soldiers. For God's sake, Some of your soldiers wear flip-flops in theatre and use mobile phones for comms yet you wanna weigh aviation fuel with SAAF? C'mon guys! 2 Likes |

agaugust:Firstly, two of your sources are from a blog, secondly non of the other 2 sources state that its military satellites! and lastly South Africa has a few satellites in orbit so i dont no were you get your "Nigeria is far superior to South Africa in satellite technology" from. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by PatriotZAR: 7:02pm On Dec 20, 2014 |
@Agaugust, None of your satellites are military grade spy satellites. You have communication and Earth-observation sats only. The earth-observation satellite you have lacks the resolution to conduct military reccon. They can't see a long convoy of boko Haram technicals even if they tried. They are used among other things, weather imagery. Spying they can't. So stop lying man. 2 Likes |

agaugust:"used by Russian Ministry Of Defence NOT Russian army, case you don't know, Ministry of defence is a civilian organization basically" this is the most idi0tic thing ive ever read, if something is used by the Department of Defence or Ministry of Defence then its obviously used by the military, as the military falls under the department of Defence and all activities regarding any defence force in the world is regulated by their Depratment/Ministry of defence. You are even more intellectually impaired than i first thought! 1 Like |
