I am struggling to understand the point you tried to make. I particularly don't understand your use of "below average" cause it is a bit vague; and I don't understand your basis for comparison.

One can perform below average in very many areas. It could be in terms of education, morality etc. With respect to education, I know for a fact that our girls have never had it better.

If you talk in terms of morality then the question of what is considered moral need be considered. For you, being sexually active is amoral but you believe that this hinders the growth of our young ladies and guys.

In as much as I also hold the view that premarital sex is amoral, I don't completely agree that this hinders ones growth with respect to the time of our fathers.

In the time of our fathers, sex was given a place of pride but this is not saying that young people were not promiscuous, though the rate was not this prevalent.

Despite this, I believe that the rate of growth of our young people today far outweighs what our fathers experienced, if I apply your vagueness to some specific cases.
