If the yorubas were not interested with a charismatic bakare,how will they be interested with an inconsequential Osibanjo

Bakare wasn't a politician and just like Osinbajo, both has no political clout or fellowship or money needed for Nigeria cash and carry politics.
The difference in 2015 to Bakari of 2011 being that Osinbajo is the candidate of the establishment, they will do anything for him to succeed because of the personal and general interests of those that nominated him.
Only diehard ACN supporters bothered voting for Ribadu knowing he got no chance of winning in 2011.
Tinubu and his group wanted coalition with CPC and as pre conditions, they wanted Buhari to substitute Bakare for their own choice of VP in 2011.
However, Buhari refused because he said that he cannot go back on his own words with Bakare. Tinubu and co then went to Aso Rock and struck a deal with Jonathan.

Even many elements within the PDP met Buhari in Lagos asking him to take Okonjo Iwuala as VP and they will switch their support and money to him and again, he refused, believing that he can do it alone.

A former governor in the South East who was in ACN in 2011 told me this in 2012, I never believed him until I read Bakare's interview recently and both accounts were exactly the same.

All these guys are all the same, they want power or close to power. I think, Buhari has finally realized that fact.
That's why he now agree on anything his party says, because his past tactics does not win elections in Nigeria.

Back in 2011 I was in Aba during the presidential election period, I visited several polling stations and people trooped out in thousands to vote for Goodluck Jonathan, Even people I know that doesn't care about Nigerian election came out to vote for the first time in their life. On arrival at a poling station opp ariaria market where some hausa corpers refused to start accrediting people that trooped out to vote for Goodluck Jonathan to the extent that it nearly caused a breakdown of law as some guys wanted to beat the corpers up if not that we intervened because I know they were looking for a reason to maybe cancel the election in the east under the guide of electoral officers been attacked.

Despite provocations from most corpers from the north, we were able to stop the electoral officers from been attacked as not to give the hausas a reason to start shouting cancel the election in the east. When people like you talk about the 2011 election been rigged in the south east I just pity you because you have no idea what goes on in the east. More people in the east are pitying Jonathan as a result of the boko haram unleashed by the north against his Government, people are now bent on returning Jonathan to the seat just to prove a point to the north. Jonathan will be unanimously voted back to power come February 14th 2015, I promise you that.

You are right and also wrong. Before Jonathan people in the east don't give a damn about voting in the presidential elections. The emergence of goodluck Jonathan in 2011 resurrected that voting spirit and even people that haven't voted before and people who haven't voted in years went and got their card just to vote for Goodluck Jonathan.

Even if all police, army, All inec officials, PDP Officials in the East where withdrawn and only APC officials are left to handle the voting in the east, APC won't even get a hundred vote in the east.

Buhari got 12m votes or so in 2011 without having any sitting governor, rep or senators. His credibilty got him 12m votes despite not touring all the states due to finances.

Now, he has serving reps, senators, gov behind him. Also, he has a well structured campaign plans with funds available, PPle who voted GEJ in 2011 realised their mistakes and want a change.

GEJ got sympathy votes in 2011 frm pple thinking he's the best to do the JOB but now, things have changed.
