Op am sorry to say that website is crap. And you want some one to give you the same crap? The site is so misleading and has no direcrion and focus. Don't copy other sites just say what you want and what your site should depict and it will be done smiley

yeah i checked the site myself and let me describe it in the these terms "It is too complexly scattered". Who ever wrote it tried to create a beautiful website by pulling up all his trick but ended up creating a complex scattered site. In your next site try to keep it simple...

I hate tagging sites crap but I think OP is the owner or maker of tradot.
The major issue with that site is that I found it hard to understand how a developer cannot display images correctly. How can a developer fully display a 1200x900 px image inside a 100x900 px container without clipping or masking or cropping of any sort. Its cringe-worthy!

^^^I wonder o. Reminds me one project i did that i developed a very nice custom theme from the scratch, and the company we did it for started asking that where did we buy the template from? that hope it was paid in full so they wont get sued in future and all that jargons, i was so surprise - that has Nigerian developers been embarrasing us so much that they find it hard to believe that a "backend programmer" can also develop stunning templates from the scratch?
That does not mean that I love working on frontend mind you, but there are times when you dont want any issues, so you just gotta do everything yourself.

^^^ happened to me too, but I showed mine to a frontend guy he was like did you buy this template or you downloaded it for free. The only thing that made him believed was I used the project name as a prefix to all id and class of the html and of course css selectors. There are too many amateurs in the game now spoiling the web dev title sad

the problem is that we have so many people who won't just stick to what works for them. Imagine a bus driver calling himself web developer because his room mate thought him how to use wordpress blog. When given a project he messes it up for the client then the client will only be left with no other choice than to call other well trained developers scam. Secondly I don't blame them coz those clients also need cheap jobs but want it to have loads of quality features. Imagine a client needs a website as jumia for NGN35K yaboor!!!

I am not saying it isn't. But, you are so going to be half baked if you can't really specialize. The web is more complex than you imagine. I guess that explains why I come across a lot of website that just doesn't cut it (design wise or functionality wise).

I weak o, its good for you to have a basic understanding of back-end if you are a front-ender and vice versa. But its better if you concentrate on one. Now a days, even js have cool backend frameworks like node.js. Also there is svg and others. Now I know why I see web apps with cool functionality bt the front-end makes me wanna cry and it discourages me frm using it.

Lol, u got this all wrong. You can build a cool template from scratch. Its no biggy. But the point still remains that, front end dev is way more than just html, css. I expect any backender to be very conversant with html and css. But, you wouldn't wanna compare the work of a very good front-ender to that of a back-ender. Would u?

More complex than he can imagine ehhh? So you are just breaking it to him, abi?

People learn web development and master it under one year so how can one not really be able to specialize in both design and development.

Dont you know there are people who baggged more than 5 professional degrees in universities and still specialized on all of them? We are talking about courses that take nothing less than 3 years to complete.

Please spare me all that bunkum of "you cant specialize" in all of web design and development nonsense. It is simply a thing of choice.

What! In a country like naija? Lol. As cool as jobberman is. I see poor ux, poor front-end and that goes on for most of our cool sites. As long a poor website brings in cash. I know say naija ppl no care. Isn't that what u mean?. Anyway, I am a front-ender/designer and I have my hands full with projects (all u have to do is to be very good at designing and coding them to screen). If u can boast of ur design and present me with cool portfolio of ur work...I am willing to outsource some to u. I am happy they are nt from nigerian clients though or else, its all abt functionality. Fyi, I make cool cash...not bragging though.

Lol, let's break it down. Can you send me 3 of ur best websites and I will tell u what I mean. I am not saying u can't (my bad). But, your web dev is gonna be just good. I guess that what u want. You care about what brings money.

I get your point really. And as a matter of fact, I believe in division of labour just for the purpose of everyone specializing in whatever suit them best. But again, some people are just good in handling different areas perfectly (they are not much mind you).
