Laykorn, kindly point out mistakes in every poem I post. You can do that on this thread sha, maybe after the whole thing. I will appreciate that a lot. I just write straight from the heart, I really don't know all the rules to follow. |

EverestdeBliu: Lol You can love two people at a time Jor. But it has to be pure/Agape love. As per the kind of love being touted on the streets in the name of relationships, I don't buy it. |

Love You're ever present in ma heart.. I can't seem to put a limit to the thoughts of you.. If love is blind then I can as well be a bat.. I see it clearly with no doubts, even thru d thickest dew.. I think love is a feeling that cannot be defined.. One of my billion explanations for it is holding your hand.. It's an expression that can never be confined.. Mere seeing you smile could pin me where I stand.. Love has had many sweet stories told.. But ours has more than a sweet story, it's magical I would just hold you tight and watch it unfold.. We're forming a strong bond, yeah, we're radicals.. |

Bloods upon bloods. Wailing and emotional tragedies Sadism cloaked in Religious mumbo jumbo Amplification of corruption Not only by the unrighteous But also by the gods of men Disguise in Man of God Sheer and blunt injustice Counted and still counting The numbers of the Victims Those who pay their tax But with cold blood death they are served The blood of the innocents Spilled on daily basis Without remorse, without sympathy Impoverisation of the rich land There they find joy Corruption of the highest order That answers their yearning Justice strangulation, their hobbies Economic degradation, their want On saturdays evenings they are seeing THIEFs!,dancing their loots They forget schools need books Hospitals crying for drugs And pedestrians sleep on bridges I will make your roads motor able I will empower the youths I will send poverty away from your land I will eradicate corruption Lies from prolific liars! |

I keep asking amid TEARS, Why am I here? Here where justice suffers Why am I here? Here where stealing aint corruption. Why am I here? Here where Minority sack the Majority Why am I here? Here where terrorists walk and patriots die Why am I here? Here where men in collars deal in arms Why am I here? Here where CERTIFIED THIEFS rule Why am I here? Here where crispy aroma can't be resisted Why am I here? Here where unclothedness and immorality reign among youths Why am I here? Here where Religion affirms a man good or bad Why am I here? Like a cock crows in the morning These I keep asking. 1 Like |

Hello NPC....... Happy New year to you all..... I haven't been around lately for a good reason I hope u understood when I wrote u this.... Sleep evades me (Odukoya A. Adeola) Oh! My world crumbles The pain tingles This depair i need to elude But sleep evades me My crucial bone aches My brain sheds like dusty cakes All will be taken by slumber i thought But sleep evades me Joy pervades my mind To darkness i became blind Oh! Lots of fruit to pluck at dawn But sleep evades me Thoughts of battles fought visible Sound of victory from afar audible The night a veil between my medal and i But sleep evades me Sleep evades me; for joy overwhelms Living me stuck in these fency realms Sleep evades me; for sorrow lingers on Only in drifting off does peace hides oh! I need to escape this torture Oh! Behind the night is my future Night! I need to get out of this fog But sleep evades me. Even if I've not been able to contribute, the poetry club dwels within my mind.... Without but within Not at hither range But pervade like fart Don't mind my analogy just miss u guys |

Re: Nairaland Poetry Club Chatroom. by Nobody: 8:23pm On Jan 16, 2015 |
standd:Yeah, there goes the problem. People like you, who'll make the best entries won't want to be a part of it, because you don't really need the prize. You gerrit? Ayamlaykorn |
Re: Nairaland Poetry Club Chatroom. by Nobody: 8:33pm On Jan 16, 2015 |
laykorn: And which Oracle told you I don't need the price When last did I recharge my phone kwanu. What we will do is donate more to make the card up to 1k. And I'll surely be part of it if I can. It's not about winning na, but reading beautiful poetry. |
Re: Nairaland Poetry Club Chatroom. by Nobody: 8:38pm On Jan 16, 2015 |
Laykorn.. there's something else oh. You know how I write poems You even call me rebel. Will you be kind enough to do a write up about the rules of writing poetry ( If there are rules sha) or what is required of a poet. Like language, rhyme, stanzas, punctuations, whatever, whatever If you can do it, just put it up as a thread or even mail it to me. I really need it. Please. *Or is there a thread for this already? Link(s)? |
