shakazuldadon: This is the information I could find on the web: The older looking ones are C25 EMPD locomotives from GE (General Electric). But it is mostly in African countries with less sophisticated railways that they're used.

The loco, writes Phillip Oladunjoye in the Daily Independent, quoting Sijuwade, is a 2,500hp General Electric 7FDL12- cylinder C25-EMPD model weighing 105.9 metric tons, with a maximum speed capability of 103km/h. “The robustly built locomotive has design adaptability to the corporation’s existing 1,067mm cape gauge. All C25-EMPD locomotive engines were specifically manufactured to be resilient and dependable in tropical domain such as ours. They comply with Nigeria’s weight per axle and clearance characteristics.” www.railwaysafrica.com/blog/2010/06/18/new-ge-loco-arrives-in-kano/ |

don't you think these diesel engines are more suited for the work they are going to perform in Nigeria, even in those countries u posted earlier, I googled most of them and they have in their fleet the same type Nigeria has. We cannot go for electric trains like Dubai or France yet but these emps are rugged like a hummer compared to the sexy porches of those other countries... I have learnt something about trains today. thanks op. 13 Likes |

shakazuldadon: Good point. I'm not sure what model of train it is but it looks better packaged than the Nigeria or Angola locomotives. My opinion. |

LRNZH: I would have agreed but compare the size of Ghana and Nigeria. ph-kano trip alone is like going around Ghana twice. the GE loco for Nigeria can be unhinged and be used to carry gas, coal, containers. this Ghana won't be doing as much much work as that of Nigeria but I guess therr are passenger trains and goods train. that 9ja monster can serve as both effectively.. e fit fine pass Nigeria own sha but I prefer a hummer or a ram truck to an evogue or venza any day anytime 11 Likes |

shakazuldadon: That was a monorail in Sydney, Australia. They're for medium traffic intra city commute and are usually elevated above ground. Instead of two rails they have just one hence monorail. Lag n PH? Just leave matter. |

Thanks OP for the pix. Please I'm currently searching Google trying to look for the one Sai Buhari built .. Any search criteria I can use? Abi I nor sabi use Google again? Lemme still try cha. *modified* Turned out Sai Buhari even cancelled the Lagos metroline project in 1985 at a loss of $78 million dollars ... Na wa E say e nor fit guarantee loan of $100 million then, so all he achieved then was to keep money in the bank or what? Pls someone educate me... Cos whatever is being accrued to him now was when he was in charge of PTF definitely under someone else's regime. . So much for someone that has the magic wand to save d economy. Just one question I have for buhari apologist. Is the cost of that project lower now? Abi d tin don increase now? So if nor be Jonathan i for nor use my eye see train. na only American film i for dey watch am... Jonathan, thank you. At least for starting this. I pray u continue because if buhari enter I'm 100% sure he would cancel this project. Imagine say buhari follow up as at 1985, dem for born me meet train working and by now we would have definitely advanced far. E nor go better for who nor like better things. 56 Likes 5 Shares |

Yeah, GEJ may have achieved something in the railway sector albeit little compared to what is spent. The fact remains that he has goofed beyond pardon and that is the reason he needs to go back to Otuoke in 2015. GEJ is just too corrupt and clueless to lead us for another four years. QED. 3 Likes |

BrosPeter: He couldn't have done all that needed to be done in less than two years. Or could he? And surely you can't say same of a GEJ who has had six years with the type of money available to him but could only come up with mediocre achievements. Though he excels in looting and insecurity which is the reason he has to be booted out come next year. GMB 2015. 17 Likes 2 Shares |

PassingShot: Why do you people present him as messiah when you can't actually point out one achievement of his? Any time he comes under scrutiny the same rhetoric reverberates. Same answer always, if he couldn't do anything when he had power, what makes you think he can do anything now? 22 Likes |
