lol! Excused me! Are you saying that just because your wife had dated other person before you or you want her to have the time of her life, you will ask for help from stronger men in the neighborhood to help you? Hey! If it can't be done in bed, then it can't be done anywhere else. Politics is life, we can't contract it out, empires have fallen over it. Politics after family, followed by money. Remarkable: |

The same lies told over and over and over again.... an outsider reading will think there are a group of Yorubas at the entrance of Lagos with a blanket, pillow, house key and car keys, with a bottle of oil, welcoming each person in and guaranteeing his safety with a contract that says such outsider will be protected all the time, everywhere in Lagos ... By round of applause, a manner of speaking for sure - how many migrants to Lagos were welcomed by a Yorua and guaranteed safety while in Lagos, at the point of entry into Lagos? Please holla, we will want to verify this once and for all... (or lay this age-old like to rest in this passing 2014...) Nonsense Nigeria is made of different ethnic groups!! Lagos is YORUBALAND!!!! That ethnic homogeneity you talk about is only possible because YORUBAS are welcoming and give your iboe people a chance to escape poverty . As always, you iboes will take people for fools and have declared Lagos as no man's land which is bullshiiite. Iboes are immigrants in Lagos and all Yorubaland. U are here because we welcome u and let u live peacefully and have a life you would not have in your village We are progressive and will vote for anyone but that is our choice and not at your request. Can I ask you? What opportunities do non-ibos have in your state? U can not expect to have what you can never ever give others- hypocrites!!! [/quote] 2 Likes |

this is completely ridiculous. Eyo festival is an indigenous Lagos celebration. yorubas from other states don't even celebrate it. should lagos now start funding osun festival too? this reeks of entitlement. to be honest, a lot of those yoruba politicians probably bought their posts with money or influence. there are enough rich igbos in lagos to be able to socialize and buy influence with politicians with their cash too. posts aren't dashed to people in Nigeria. they don't even understand what politics is all about. 8 Likes |

Justcash: Why not disabuse your mind about this Nigerian project so that you can reason better ? How long will it take you to get it into your skull that the Yoruba is not desperate for a united or one Nigeria, never mind the likes of the illegitimate Obasanjo who is obsessed with that project simply because he is aware of his non-relevance amongst the Yoruba who see and treat him like an outcast that he is. 8 Likes |

@ Justcash, I like the sublime and ideal idea of erasing the tribes when it comes to governance in Nigerian states but I think we are still far from it. It will surely happen with time especially if we don't revert back to regional government system. The major question I will like to ask is are the "immigrant" tribes even ready for such roles, we seem to be entrenched in our tribal identity that we can't even let go to get something better. You can't request/demand to be part of a system that you hardly see yourself as, you have to blend in totally first. The Ibos will have to integrate into the system seamlessly before they can achieve that and its best they don't even chase it as Ndigbo because that ironically means they are not integrated, they have to chase it as Lagosian with "Non-Yoruba" descent. Even in the US, you will not hear Nigerians or Hispanics fighting for political posts as Nigerians or Hispanics, rather they will do that as Americans with African descent. That's the only way to show you are part of the system. For the mere fact that you pay tax somewhere (you earn your livelihood)does not make you an indigene, you become an indigene when you join the people and when you join the people.....you don't have to ask for anything because you are part of it automatically. Ndigbo will have another opportunity to prove to Lagosians that they are part of the system during the next censor, if they are willing to stay behind and be counted as Lagosians or if they will go back to their root. 16 Likes |

Justcash: Who are you deceiving with that BS? Nigeria came out of independence divided and years after the same independence you let us all know that Nigeria was a divided country when you slaughtered military and political leaders from the other 2 major region and to add salt to injury, the next ibo head of state who was supposed to do to the killer and murderers what they do to such people globally in form of punishment, the ibo head of state did not even slap his own killers and murderers on the wrist hence the mass slaughter of ibo people up north. You people divided Nigeria since day one. When was the last time you joined the rest of the country to demonstrate or agitate for anything? Where were you when the rest of Nigeria was demonstrating and risking their lives to make sure GEJ gets his constitutional dues to be the president of Nigeria? Decades after the war, they keep dividing with their anger and bitterness against the other 2 major regions. Even today, your local and National leaders openly spew hatred and tribal rants against the rest of the country, you openly spew derogatory, ethnic and religious bigotry rubbish against the other regions and you don't believe in anything or care to partake in anything concerning the other regions, you won't even align with any political party from the other regions and even if at your own detriment, you don't give a damn as long as you deny that 2 other regions the upper hand. Your votes for GEJ was 100%, even higher than GEJ's own SS people. You endlessly claim you own other people and their land. The fact is, you people don't give a shitttt about ONE NIGERIA and you care less about the rest of the country, the only time you fool people with that ONE NIGERIAN nonsense is when you want something or when you're trying to con people just to get your selfish and self centered ways like you are doing in Lagos now. One Nigerian my ASSSSSSSS... 22 Likes 2 Shares |

AJINATU: By rejecting proportional representative within a democracy in lagos , the Nigeria project has failed again. This might even be a tacit acceptance of the idea of Biafra by the yorubas this time around. As yorubas and hausas gradually reject the Igbos, AU will continue to recognize Biafra. It will not be out of place to say that the yorubas have wakened up to the realization that the Nigerian project will not sustain their civilization. They are pursuing two prong approach to achieving this. (1), setting Hausa/Fulani up on a violent collision curse with the Igbos if Buhari loses in the up coming presidential election by blinded support to Buhari as a result of a blinded mentality of born to rule of the Hausa/Fulani oligarchs. (2), by hedging and hoping that Buhari's winning will provide them with a second fiddle and in ample position to transform their region into an African and global financial center (ref. Echo Atlantic). In a short term, the calculations seems possible but unforeseen forces like the drop in oil prices and the forces of regionalism it self will expose the shallowness of what I call "the Yoruba logic". Hausa/Fulani will outsmart them too by claiming that their brave and violent antecedence brought victory to them and not the yorubas cowardly disposition. 5 Likes |

Justcash: There is no such thing as Certificate of Ownership, you can only get a Crrtificate of Occupancy which elapses after 99 years of occupying a land. So technically you do not own a land by purchasing it, you are only occupying it so says Nigeria's constituition. 11 Likes 2 Shares |

aresa: huptin: According to the constitution, the state holds and administers rights over land use for "All NIGERIANS". As long as I keep paying the required fees as stipulated by the state government for the stipulated time frame, I own the land. It is mine until the day that I cannot lay claim of it. Moreover, the C OF O is applicable to every NIGERIAN irrespective of ethnicity and religion. In essence, even Yorubas are subject to the same law. The land is not owned by the Yorubas as purported by many here, but by the government. A government is not an ethnic or religious institution. In this case, there is no special privilege accorded to the Yorubas. Finally, the state cannot just wake up one day and start seizing lands bought legitimately because they feel worried about a certain ethnic group. They will be sued and Justice will prevail. 1 Like |

shiffynaani: Satisfaction does not necessarily come from the attainment of outcomes. It is also generated from the attainment of objectives. For example, If my objective is to beat my personal record in a hundred meters race, then I don't necessarily have to win the race in order to feel satisfied. My objective is to vote for some aspirants. I will attain satisfaction from simply contributing my quota towards their aspirations irrespective of outcome. 1 Like |
