Border patrol is tough Cancun is really nice as far a jobs go i don't know what you can get assuming you plan to work there.

they have tough immigration laws in Mexico, they prefer people going out rather than coming in. besides mexico city, there isn't that much of a job market.

I heard Mexico has a lot of gang activity and warfare, but as long as you face what you went there to do, it shouldnt be a problem, hopefully.

And yes, I heard they dont hesitate to deport foreigners. Blacks are no exception.

i have been to Cancun on vacation and like i said before it's really nice. Honestly you need to learn Spanish and the wage rate over there is really bad due to their money being almost as bad as if not worse than the naira. They are also very prejudice in Mexico if you ain't a Mexican they look at you crazy even if you are a Spanish person and God help you if you don't speak Spanish. Gang activity is very rampant over there drug sales and activity is big there too but those are just a few of the negatives that you can look at. On the positive side Mexico is a beautiful country with people who still embrace their culture. They have incredibly education people there and One of the richest guys in the world is from Mexico. Tourism is big in Mexico and the beaches in Cancun were wonderful.

There is an immigration guy ( mexican) who said i should come to his city, claiming its one of the safest cities in mexico but still i still need more infos, i wonder why no nairalander lives in this country, na wa ooo, please i await a swift response from you as regards this. Going to Mexico for jobs is not a good idea.

Going to Mexico for School is also useless; you could as well go to Spain.

Mexico is not different from Nigeria.

Even much worse when you think of its closeness to USA as compared with Canada's progress.

There is lot of gang killings and its generally a dangerous place.

That said, it has one of most flourishing tourism in AMERICAS due to its Maya History and good sandy-beaches.

If Mexico is a stepping stone to US or Canada then it could make sense.

Mexico is definitely not an option if you havent got a plan. Most Mexicans are in America, the ones that arent, are shooting each to the last man.

Hey! fellow nairalander don't be totally discouraged. Make sure you have a plan B. If your school is paid for, good. Think of how you can use your mind and this experience to create a legacy for yourself.

the thing about mexico; for you going to mexico ,you need to put your mind crossed that were

you are going to is a third world country but you must know that for the fact that you are a

To those who said studying in mexico is useless, well i have this to say to you , I do

know that when it comes to Countries in the Latin america region and its education , Mexico

is ahead, there are international schools(more of US) in mexico and one can easily apply

for transcript to school in the USA.(i dont think Brazil or argentina's education can be

beter than that of mexico)

in mexico that is relatively high like Monterrey and mexico city(those are two i know)Cancun

is relatively cheap(OK),environmental friendly,great tourist attractions.

The country is currupt , so as our country(at least our own dan de better) but i would say thiers is woefully currupt ,

becos i cannot imagine a situation were the police would be supportin the gangstas and drug

lords, in thier criminal activity(President Calderón(president of mexico) seems to be serious about cracking down on drug gangs by using the military to rage war against them).

the issue of racial discrimination been black, i really dont know about that, but from the way i look at it, its s.america, there are blacks there , but i know that there are more blacks in brazil compare to mexico,
