Not all Universities require a WES evaluation...

University of Manitoba uses a 4.5 scale not 4.0

University of Saskatchewan uses percentage

CGPA is 4.10/5.00 b4 conversion and dts frm 200L to 500L. The 200L had the poorest grades hence, the apparent difference on the 4.00 scale cos my other levels were lyk 4.52, 4.81, 4.77 so I think I can guess wat u thinking wink

Manitoba also make use of 4.0 for admission while for d scholarship dey wil use ur conversion over 4.5. Just check d web of faculty of grad studies. Have you mailed the profs with your area of intrests?

You dont really need to evaluate your transcript except your intended school recommend that. For UofS have you filled out there pre-assesment form? I think your cgpa is very good, you just have to apply to find out if you will be admitted or not. Mind you, schoolarship dont come easy (this one wey ur blood dey hot) you might be patiant unless ur want to apply for a non schoolarship masters M.Eng then u wil get admitted faster.

@kellycute pls i have few questions for you concerning centennial college admission;
1. Hope age is not a factor, as it is a college
2. Which is the easiest root for consideration; secondary school graduate or college/university graduate?
3. The transcript to be mailled is it supposed to be in a particular format? If yes what format? and are we to send both waec and university transcript?
4. Is TOEFL or IELTS compulsory for Nigerians? as our education is in English. If yes is it compulsory at this stage?
Thanks in anticipation of your response
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by adebimpe1988(f): 8:06am On Dec 28, 2014

1st Application
Applied: 27th April

Reasons: Purpose of visit, length of proposed stay, financial and personal assets and current employment situation.

Docs Submitted: Sponsor SOA (Salary Acct M30+, dorm account $120+k),
Sponsor letter and letter from sponsor's employer. NO SOP.

2nd Application
Applied: 3rd October
Biometrics: 9th October
Med Call: 28th November
Med Done: 3rd December
Passport Request: 8th December.

Docs Submitted:

*Sponsor SOA for 6months (salary acct. 40+M, dorm acct $120+K)
*Sponsor letter and letter from sponsor's employer
*My four months SOA (500+K)
*Letter of introduction and study leave letters from my employer
*SOP (clearly detailing why I chose to study in Canada and at the University of Regina and my plans to return to Naija upon graduation.

This is all. Note that none of my documents were notarized. If someone agrees to sponsor you and puts it in writing with his contact details clearly stated I see no reason for all that. Sponsor meanwhile is my maternal uncle with different surname. Thanks everyone. If any questions, I'll do well to answer them. May part 7 be better and sweeter than part 6. God bless everyone.

Gm chief, I realised d reasons for your refusal was same with mine in 2011.. Congrat for your story have changed.. I pray I sing your kind of new song soon..
1 thing that caught my attention in your post is the letter of introduction and study leave... Is it compulsory I get these 2 from my company as I intend not to disclose anything to the company until I have the visa with me... Will these 2 affects my application? For I've nt used up to 4months in my new company but I have the employment letter.
Congrat 1ce again bro.

If you need admission without much hazzle & u hv the fund go for course base (M.Eng). Its only of disadvantage if you want to progressto PhD.

For those currently on a study permit in Canada, what form is the study permit; is it a paper doc or simply stamped on the passport like the TRV ?

U can stil proceed to PhD just that u might face what you are facing now gaining admission since you wont be having any research background. Is better u go for M.Eng with any uni than PGD in colleges

I actually have being racking my brain as well....the question isnt exactly clear...because there are different ways to immigrate to canada and each of them have their peculiarity as par how much needed to immigrate...

I guess a more direct question from @tacha will help secure responses....
