LOL,then let's say they are cowards and unskilled then, seeing as they can't defeat a ragtag BH that they run away from on the daily?.How many suicide bombers faced up to the soldiers and traded bullets with them? Zero.Don't cry "manipulation".Argue your way through. Is the Nigerian army ragtag, cowards or hapless?I mean they are "light years" ahead of BH according to you and yet they can't stop them at home. You listed the following for BH: APCs,rocket launchers, kalashnikovs and AK47,artillery,armour piecing bullets, bombs;grenades;IED
Any military that's "light years ahead" of that and fighting at homeshould not have a problem stopping such a terror group, especially if such military is apparently NOT "rag tag",unless of course such military are cowards, ineffective and unskilled.
if the NA is unskilled and cowardly, how were they able to reclaim territories and kill terrorists in thousands?,suicide bombers cant be predicted, and you know that!.i smell double standard here.

Nigeria has the highest HIV/AIDS prevalence rate in the world. I swear in a few coming years you will proudly and official topple SA from number one top spot and take the trophy as the king with the crown.

The parliament does not consult any military chiefs to make political decisions affecting military. The SANDF never lost the battle, they merely defended themselves from the bandits who wanted to consume them with the hell fire and only for the enemy to suffer heavy casualties. The military chiefs wanted us to finish them off but they soon raised the white flag after realising that our reinforcements were on their way. They feared the gripens and rooivalks. However, the parliament stopped everything before we ever started with our offensive to crash the bandits until there was no single one left.
*gasp*,what sort of government and armed forces do you run,if your parliament doesnt take advise from the military top brass on military-related political decisions?.the military is the unofficial fourth arm of a democratic government, and must therefore be given uthmost priority.
yes,you never lost the battle, but you lost the war{bitterly,i might add}.m'boy, thy army is toothless.

In SA the parliament has powers over military as representatives of voters in the land. Chief, remember military used to rule Nigeria that's why you call them unofficial forth arm of the government authority which is not like that in SA. We treat military as just a government department in SA.

We are very open with our HIV status in SA, unlike in Nigeria where you will always have to stay in a closet with your status fearing to be stoned to death, or excommunicated especially in North East Nigeria.

blasphemy!....so your parliament is too big to receive advise from the military?.i'm not disputing that the parliament has constitutional powers over virtually every other arms of government, but in nigeria, the CDS do give advise to the parliament and presidency on how to mobilize, strategize, motivate and deploy troops and military equipments when and where needed!.are your senators and parliamentarians military men?,do they have training and experience on military matters?,how then can they do without military advise on military issue.
yes,the military USED to rule us,but that is besides the point.the military is an important arm of government, without them, then no sovereignity!.

Our parliament has parliamentary portfolio committee on defence where all the talks about military has to be discussed in the presence of the Minister before they head to the National Assembly. However, the parliament has the powers over military in all aspects of decision making. The military has to advice the commander in chief ( the pres) who in turn has to brief the parliament about the developments in the defence and for approval there of.

Not in a war zone, pirates murdered 3 soldiers in cold blood and took of in their boat, a mere speed boat that even civilians have.

BH has his own tanks, we crushed them all.

Now tell SANDF to go to Bangui and crush one single Seleka Toyota Hilux if you dare, nation of Bantu genetic COWARDS !
.
Pirates have NNS Aradu.

How many tanks did BH capture from military?

I say that tank belongs to th Nigerian military.

"Rhino has cost South Africa a financial loss of about R228 million with the 333 rhinos poached last year alone. These are the statistics according to the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa (WESSA); it is for this reason and the need to protect rhinos that the country is going all out to counter poachers.

The deployment of South African National Defence Force (SANDF) members at the Kruger National Park
has brought confidence that rhino poaching can be extinguished. The SANDF deployed 265 soldiers at Kruger National Park and the borders around the park in March this year, following a plea for help by the South African National Parks (SanParks).

In an interview with Defence magazine, Colonel Nceba Bobelo, Officer Commanding for Joint Operations Tactical Headquaters in Mpumalanga, said “Operation Corona” was making a huge difference in the fight against poachers. The Army brought in its expertise to beef up a team of Park Rangers, which was overwhelmed by the by increasing killing of rhinos for their horns.

"We've got one Intelligence Tactical Regiment from Potchefstroom, which specialises in intelligence gathering. Special Forces and 21 Batallion, both in the park and on the borders," says Colonel Bobelo. The ground troops are supported by helicopters for a speedy chase of poachers. "The helicopters contribute a lot in terms of identifying areas where poachers are operating," he adds. Colone! Says that it became increasingly important to rope in the army when syndicates began using helicopters, night vision equipment and high-powered rifles in their expedition. The army is part of the National Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure (NATJOINTS)
, says Colonel Bobelo."

Your source clearly says the SANDF deployed 265 members.

Again they're backing the policing and rangers, as they're there on their own mission.

The Kruger is almost the size of Israel with around 500-600 rangers to protect it.

But again poachers are not a threat.

In your case more than:

A. 3000 civilians have been killed.
B. 2 million displaced.
C. More 400 kidnapped.

Boko Haram summarise all in one.

Boko Haram are rapistss, murderers, terrorists, etc

Boko Haram has killed more people in Nigeria just in one year than people ever killed in SA, it has killed more people than an Apartheid government.

Moreover, Nigeria does not even keep reliable stats even that of their population.

21 Battalion SANDF, SA special forces and SAAF were all deployed in Rhino war and failed, if they had succeeded, you won't say it's not a military affair, will you? Mere local Rhino hunters dribbled SANDF and SAAF around in your own homeland, I wonder what will happen if 20,000 terrorists operate and live inside South Africa like we have in Nigeria, Jacob Zuma would have been taken hostage for ransome grin grin

what's your problem now? We re talking about a nation with its men at war and you re talking about soldiers fighting Rhino poachers. Men that's a big insult to all the officers and men in the NE, why don't you just create a thread about the Nigerian park guards and have this bloody SAFA`s go there and compare their Rhino protection military service with them. So they actually went to fight the m23 rebels with their Rhino protection experience.
