VirginFinder: Gbawe2: And yorubas on nairaland posting pictures of dieing Biafra Children was not offensive enough to warrant those hard words from waternogetenemy. Yorubas on nairaland saying more Biafra will die and making reference to Biafrans dieing and dead is Ok? Gbawe, u are a slimy pig for bring up those post and not the instigator waternogetenemy was basically replying. Igbos should have a say in their Lagos state and participate in its governance going forward.

Gbawe2: The fellow you quoted is the typical Igbo e-warrior you find on Nairaland. I assure you that not all Igbos reason that way, but the majority on this forum do. They have no respect whatsoever for any other tribe in Nigeria, yet they wonder why they are not loved by all. Infact the Igbo belief is that other tribes owe them support over all issues. So you see them gloating over Awolowo, Ahmadu Bello, Gowon, and Saro Wiwa threads. What they have not done is to tell us what they have done to merit their demands of our support, that would justify their claims of betrayal. I am yet to see a migrant tribe that so passionately despises the natives as they do. This attitude is replicated all over Nigeria and other African states. 15 Likes 1 Share |

StOla: Again u convienently left out the yoruba e-warriors posting Biafra sick children pics up and down this site. Do all yorubas behave that way? The way i see it where their is no demand u wont find supply. Tell the yorubas to stop posting dieing and sick Biafra children picks and u wont get a response suchh as that from waternogetenemy. 1 Like 1 Share |

Calculia: Sentimental fool. Can you put aside the 'support my kinsman by all means' bigotry for a minute and see what needs to be seen? Do you think I have time for the Yoruba bigots waternogeteneny engages here? Big no !!! Yet my point remains that "those who come to equity must come with clean hands". You cannot be shouting "Marginalisation" without acknowledging your own behaviour which makes you hard to trust with power. When Yoruba bigots insult Igbos here 24/7 then be my guest to remind them that their behaviour may have made it difficult for Igbos to trust them with power when a Yoruba is seeking political office in Anambra or Abia State. You need to stop looking at everything childishly. I am a Lagosian and a proud Yoruba. I will comment if some wish to play the usual marginalisation card deceitfully and dishonestly. You are not mature or objective enough to learn from waht others are saying. Look at the part I quoted below from one of my previous posts on this thread to note why it is incumbent on the Igbos, as those seeking the support of others, to demonstrate that charity begins at home. You a big fool and an egocentric tw1t if the point I am making is not clear. Carry on with the vainglorious and pugnacious attitude to everything related to engaging other Nigerians. I don't know the manner of idiocy that prevents you from understanding the simple concept of how it is those who want something from others who have the greater onus of making concilliatory effort to get what they want. Mumu. Nothing would benefit Igbos more, because of their nomadic nature, than a dedication to respecting others and making an effort to get on with them instead of remaining obsessed with viewing others disdainfully, fighting them over civil war 'hangover' vendetta and proclaiming fictitious superiority over them day in day out. 17 Likes |

They also demanded that Yorubas should stop speaking Yoruba language at the government house and state house of assembly, what an affront ! If Azikiwe had managed to become Western Premier, the gloating Igbo would have feted us to tales of how an Igbo man was required to help the Yorubas develop their region. They would have revised history, telling us falsely that no Yoruba man was educated enough to lead, and had to beg an Igbo man to help them out. For this singular political sagacity, Awolowo became a god, enshrined in the hearts of his people. He chased the lost one further away and our Igbo politician suddenly remembered the way to his village despite being born in the North. Awolowo went on to lead the region in all fronts, being a vangaurd of innovative ideas and infrastructure that the rest of Africa had to follow. 21 Likes 1 Share |

Gbawe2: Now who is opening a conversation with abuse? People like u provoke reaction and then turn around to base a senseless arguement on that reaction. So, far ur reaction is predictable becos most yorubas have developed a sense of entitlement with regards to Lagos Governorship or Politics. This is very much so, to the detriment of the multi-ethnic and linguistic character of Lagos as a state. What igbos are requesting is not unreasonable since they make a sizeable contribution to the state budget via heavy taxation and have been resident in the state from conception as the capital of Nigeria. They own a sizeable chunk of the land mass that they bought and have even built upon. They are only asking to participate in the governance of their state. If Obama can be President of America, i dont see the big deal here. 2 Likes |

The igbos including me should go and take several seats biko. Leave the yoruba pple to their land. Let's go back to our moribund East and develop it. We like developing other people's home and leave ours messy and in an economically sorry state. We allow greed to rule us and our excessive love for materialism has blinded our eyes to true meaning of development. We Ndi-igbos don't care for ourselves, all we think of is me, myself and I. Until we start to look back into our house, stop the greed, wake up to self-less community development in our land, we will continue to sweep other pple's home while ours is in a sorry state. I have more to say but I'll rest my case here. lalasticlala: 12 Likes |

Definitely, because 50% of people who voted for fashola were Igbos. The earlier an Igbo governor emerges in lagos the better for democracy in Nigeria. |

Calculia: Opening a conversation with abuse? Did you not call me a "slimy pig" to elicit the response I gave? The forum can now see your two-faced duplicity. You dish it out only to cry and play victim when you get same in return. As for your post, you cannot make a "reasonable" request with blackmail and without understanding and abiding with the principle of "live and let live". You need to respect other Nigerians always and fundamentally accept their contributory importance and worth instead of vaingloriously and disrespectfully dismissing all other ethnic groups while falsely proclaiming yourself to be what you are not. You say Yorubas have a "sense of entitlement". What sense of entitlement? The one many Yorubas were forced to developed after Igbos began claiming they "own Lagos" and that they "control the economy of Lagos" with the wild and delusional claim that "Lagos will collapse if we pull our investments out"? Show me one ethnic group or race that will not develop a "sense of entitlement" after hosting another ethnic group or race for decades hospitably and tolerantly only to be told they are "lazy slaves" dominated by others. My friend, look at the antics of your kinsmen first before accusing the Yorubas, ordinarily secure in themselves and tolerantly hospitable, of having a sense of entitlement. If you do not operate with humility ever than you will get cooperation never. 9 Likes |
