I respect Oprah she is an enigma started from the scratch but this Alakija is what I can't say ..she was in government and hub snubbing with them then they gave her oil block

They said she was a seamstress or mistress to one government personnel ..you know button power so she ain't a role model for the girls

Oprah I respect
She I disrespect

If you ever quote me ..you phone will blank and pack up

Happy new year in advance

Even if that money is with Niger deltans they will not do nathing for tgeir communities too.
Show me one borehole drilled by Ateke/ Asari for their communities.
The way they claim to be fighting for Niger delta, you will expect to see schools, wells, and small kitchens run by MEND in these communities. Rather when the FG pays them their "let peace reign" fee, they eat it alone and God punish you if you dare question their act.

All the millitant fees they collect, howmany scholarships have they made available for kids in NIGER Delta?
Bros, we just have greedy people running things thats all.

Don't insult the good people if niget Delta ...its their money they can drink brandy with it...lol

Nothing succeeds like success.

To him who hath shall more be given. But to him who hath not, even that which he hath shall be taken away.

The reason most people are sulking/hating (as the case maybe) at this news is down largely to their thinking. No wonder they can't accumulate or attract money.

That news story is skewed. 60% of $7.3 billion will be $4.38 billion which is not affirmatively confirmed yet. The richest black woman is Angola oil tycoon Isabel Dos Santos. Please, read up before posting bogus information.

Good one for Her. My only question,is how a fashion designer got an oil license. The report says Her company "Famfa oil" was awarded the oil block. Does it mean She was able to set up an oil firm that had the capacity to bid for oil blocks as at that time? Or was She someone's mistress? Simple logic tells me that there should normally,be no correlation between being a fashion designer, and running an oil firm. They are two distinct professions that are miles apart and not inter-related. But hey,it's none of my business.

i concur with u

but let me help you she was the fashion designer at the time to the first lady and top
govt officials in aso rock...she became very close to the first lady who in turn helped her tp get the oil license

I'm no fan of Oprah Winfrey, it is clear for everyone to see she is a hard worker, unlike Alakija who is a beneficiary of the corrupt system. That's why she can't be popular like Oprah as she has not in anyway added value to people's lives.

And even if she us a fashion designer to king of Arabia her bet worth is not even half of the money to bid for a well

I don't blame her though I blame these Niger Delta people that are busy drinking rum and gin while others make money off them

How can a tailor bid for an oil block and get it. Such a travesty

This is not about envying my friend, this is about a situation where all the rich got their money from govt patronage, its the public's money in the hand of a few. Tell me why a 3rd world country where people are so poor will allocate oil block to individually-owned company? Why wont there be widespread poverty? Am not saying the woman hustle but we dont want our oil allocated to individuals that are cronies of govt. Why cant an oil block be given to all unemployed youths for instance? or the elderly that have never worked for govt, etc? Yeye country.

Friend, have you ever heard of countries called UAE, Qatar and Oman?
How about the term Oil sheikh?
These are individuals whose Lands contain oil, have oil blocks or enjoy govt concessions to prospect oil. A place where guys are so rich from oil they use lions as pets.

Does the woman drink the oil, is the crude not part of the proceeds you enjoy as a citizen?
Does she not employ Nigerians in her company?

Why the beef man? All of us cannot have oil blocks, but we ask that all who have them should make judicious use of them to uplift our country and citizenry.

That is Nigerian wealth in the hands of oil well hijackers like her.

Oprah earned her money the hard way against all odds. There are comparison between the two, apart from Brazilian hair they both wear, which is not a very good thing for a role model like Oprah to be fronting.
