This is child slavery. In 2014?! Jesus Christ!!! I just can't wrap my head around the fact he used his daughter as a form of collateral. He the intermediary and the creditor should all be jailed. I'm shocked they all weren't arrested by the said security operatives.
shocked

I believe punch carried the story so getting in touch with punch might lead to Mary's dad.

I see an irrational and spontaneous, but loving father.

And a see the quintessential heart of man in the creditor. Whoever takes such advantage of a helpless father acting on the emotions he has for his daughter.

On the flip side, was there hope the sick daughter would have been cured or the 600 was only to prolong her life?

Must u politicise every tin in ur desperation to win affection nd compassion 4 ur candidate.

But brother it is true. This is reality staring us in the face. Would he have done that if he was atleast comfortable? Will an average American do that?

Let's begin to ask critical questions.

Baba, u r going too far by comparing america with Nigeria.
Everytin in Africa is hard to come by-potable water, good food, technology n infrastructure. We pay more for less down here.
D question u shud ask is "if d man had a better option, would he still do dat?"
I see d man as a victim of circumstance, and he really tried as a father. I will not be emotional on ds issue.
I can bet ds same man can sell out one of his kidneys to save ds other girl.
If u've not been poor before, u won't understand wat I mean.

Were it a marriage involving a young muslim girl, Human rights activists would've been falling over themselves in trying to prosecute the girl's parent.

Female children are very expensive to maintain, with little or no yield. Girls are sold as wives in war thorn regions, since they can't push through like manliness. cheesy

My brother I admire your argument being devoid of insults which is a rare character of pro-PDP supporters.

Now Nigeria with its wealth and potentials should be a leading African country. Where others are discussing such problems, we shouldn't.

You will agree with me that even many African countries are far better off. South Africa, Angola and a host of others are ahead of us. This is a mess PDP has led us in for over 15yrs.
