I had asked the question before and was advised to make it a thread because I know there would be different opinion, and so the question I would ask is, what kind of family would you have if you marry a lady that smokes and drinks?

Smoke No. last year I was in our work end of year party. wine and all kinds of alcohol was circulating heavily.

I saw this beautiful girl. Tall slim and her evening gown was really nice on her. my kind of girl if you ask me. I never knew she even worked with us.

The only problem was that she drinks more than a fish. I do not know if it was because the whole thing was free. I engaged her into a conversation but i was talking to a tipsy lady. so I shifted. I saw her this year, she wanted us to hang out but that memory still lingers. I do not want to change anyone.
I am not the the kind of person that says you must change your drinking habit. if I can tolerate it, I am game. if not, i exit.

Have a smoker & drinker as mother and role model to my children? No.
Have a smoker & drinker as one who should be acutely aware of and actively managing the health of our household? No.
Have a smoker & drinker in the wife I want to spend a long and active life with, as opposed to nursing due to irresponsible lifestyle choices? No.
Have a co-journeyer who doesn't understand that her body is the temple of God. Hell No.

TV01 has said it all. Smoking is not a habit that should be encouraged in modern society what with all its attendant health risks. Such a person is crass and irresponsible and definitely not fit to raise children.

Even passive smoking i.e inhaling cigarette smoke even though you are not the one doing the smoking has been known to endanger a pwrson's health and you now want to expose my kids to such because you are forming freedom of choice/modern woman?
