1.The Avensis is less likely to attract robbers than the camry
2. The Avensis is less common than the camry so you won't be too bored with it
3. I prefer the interior of the Avensis to the xle trim of that camry of same year.
4. The Avensis is a rugged and tough car but as it adds more years the dash is likely to crack
5. The Avensis looks more sporty and solid than that camry.
6. The Avensis has a wagon variant that kinda put it on par with the corolla, I don't think camry has a wagon variant.

The only issue is the resale value and buyer interest on Avensis is very low.

@ your 5, there's an SE trim in N. American market, sportivo trim in Australian market and which is more sporty, the JDM and Asian Market models are sportier than the avensis in Arab world, they engage this model of CAMRY in "Tafheet" which is known as Arab drift.
There is an ALL WHEEL DRIVE variants in some market model.
Some model of CAMRY has a manual tranny for its 4 cylinder.

@ your 6, CAMRY has no wagon instead it grew into a crossover suv= the highlander which is basically a wagon and is described as a tall heavier CAMRY.

I won't argue with you, I prefer the avensis to that 2003-2006 camry the interior of the avensis is just well placed and when I mean sport not drivability I mean shape I was driven in the Avensis (though I don't think the avensis has multiple variants like ce, se or xle etc) at 140km/h that car handling was solid this was on 3rd mainland bridge b4 the repair on the bridge.

The Avensis has been with them like forever (government car) when the hood was opened, the plastic covering was 80% intact, means less engine fault, I can't say the same for my friends camry xle. The only down side of that avensis is the dash, it has started cracking especially sides close to passenger air bag.

@6 I am saying that the camry is suppose to be luxurious than avensis reason for it not having a wagon variant I can imagine the 07-12 camry with wagon but that big for nothing wagon, I wonder who will buy the ugly thing. Lol

Reason why CAMRY has that feel is because N American models have soft spring rate tuned suspensions. If you get firmer suspensions as is used in JDM, you'll know the CAMRY is a better driving car than the avensis. Its also got a longer wheel base than the avensis. However, both cars have longer overhangs which is a negation in sports performance.

You dey find CAMRY wagon, they gave you answer by providing a highlander which is basically a taller heavier built CAMRY wagon

I am not a wagon person I said the avensis has a wagon variant which makes it to be on par with the corolla as corolla bank tyPe also has wagon. I don't think luxurious vehicles need wagon variant except it is given in form of another model like 97-2002 camry (sienna As wagon) big 4 nothing (highlander as wagon)
The camry is rated higher than the Avensis but seriously let's come to Nigerian setting
1. that big 4 notin bumper is so fragile let it just touch sometin it will crack like thunder passing through it
2. That big for notin will look horrible when it has minor dents cause of its shape
3. That big for notin is also BIG FOR NOTHING

Both cars are solid but avensis should be considered if V6 is not needed, less robber magnet, also reliable like the camry and op wanna stand out

Don't agree with you! Camry 2005 bumper is very strong and the plasticky fragile bumper is the cheap new 'china' versions sold in Ladipo, Not the "follow-come" bumper...
BTW toyota camry 05 is not big 4 nothing. Its an awesome machine and comparing it to an Avensis is an insult...

What insult? The car wasn't branded 'big for nothing' for the fun of it. It does not look good. Toyota got to their blandest point with that camry. Besides, except for the rear vents in the xle, a base avensis has arguably more features than an xle camry.

base Avensis offer fog lamps and 5 extra airbags than similar Camry American spec or not. ,The highest trim, which my relative had featured 8speaker infotainment system, factory fitted DVD on headrests that can be operated separately, rain sensitive wipers and parking sensors. What the xle Camry has that is lacking in the Avensis is a more powerful 3.0V6 engine and rear vents.
