On the streets of Lagos almost on a daily basis,one is confronted with the 'street preachers'. These people,armed with megaphones preach 'the salvation sermon' to passersby. While I do not have a problem with people doing whatever they like,these people should not constitute a nuisance all in the name of evangelism. Many of these preachers preach only one message-salvation. is that what Christianity and Islam is all about? What of Love(to yourself and your neighbours) and patriotism? Why not preach against rape and financial corruption? I am a Christian-but some of these peops to me-are just deranged madmen and madwomen.

I think street preaching should banned outright, most times they enter my street as early as 5am and start their noise pollution, I wonder who is their audience at that Wee hours

Banning street preaching is too extreme...especially when you havent banned street prostitutes, shouting bus conductors, street product advertizers and marketers, street political campaigns etc.

This thread and its contents so far dont require you to get agitated, aggressive and bitter. There is no need to start cursing God.
