Are those trains or trams? Even some trams do have cushioned sits too. Nevertheless, great point you provided here.

Those are subway, monorails or trams with plastic chairs,used for intra-city travel.. a traveling coach doesn't use plastic ... can you sit on plastic from Indiana to Wyoming... guess not

Please stop using whiteman as a standard. It makes your brain communicate you subconsciously that you're inferior to whiteman, something we unfortunately inherited from many years of slavery and colonization of Africa. If they had this type of cushion you'll probably like it.

All you needed say is you would've preferred plastic seat because it would be easier to clean. Many African countries do also have trains with plastic seats. Get it?.
