well, poor now, but surely, it must get poorer if Nigerians make the mistake of voting into power the anti-Western education people with their leader - the goggle-wearing rtd General.

Nigerian graduates are unemployable, nigerian graduates are overrated, nigerian graduates are this, they are that.........who the heck are producing the same graduates y'all are castigating? The same set of mofos saying we are unemployable are the same set of guys setting policies affecting us, the same olodo lecturers teaching us jargons in school, the same guys criticizing the efficiency of our curriculum are the same guys that set the phucking curriculum.
A good tree can only be judged by the good fruits it produced......if we the graduates are unemployable, then our lecturers, the minister of education, and every phucking body involved in education in Nigeria are also useless and unemployable!! Lubbish!angry

because the job seekers outnumber d available jobs dats all. if Jonathan creates enabling environment for business to thrive, and if importation is banned or reduced and nigerians stop smuggling. there wud be jobs shikena. instead of GNS in skul why not teach gmat and shl. grin
..and in wat system does the number of available jobs match or outnumber the job seekers??

Very true. I totally agree with all the points. The way out is for graduates to add values to themselves. Develop marketable skills and learn new things that you can manage with before your certificate fetches you a job.

I refuse to learn a trade because I don't want my mate to see me in a tailor as an apprentice but what I don't know is that a skilled graduate is better than an unskilled graduate And dat dat same skill can make money for me while in tertiary institution.

Almost all institution dis day now have barber, tailor, hairdresser in hostels and dey are making money.

My friend Nigerian graduates are employable. Employers of labour should stop foolishing us, especially Federal Government. After all, these graduates were trained by government owned institutions. There is no reason for the government to turn back and say there products are unemployable. Whose to be blamed?

we r tired of the complaints and reasons..

whats d way forward.. whats d solution?

for those of u that hamper on self improvement over the govt being responsible.. fvck u.. if u rnt blind u would see that Nigerians have tried improving themselves to the best of their abilities..

in every big family u have a
blogger, musician, bead maker, caterer, event manager and small business scale owners..

talking of professional certs nko

programming languages, project management, safety and others have been gotten.

in second degrees..
many folks with their Msc.

how else do u want these guys to get skills.

there is a difference in frying akara and understanding mechatronics or strategic management.
these necessary skills aren't just picked up.. they are learnt over time in companies willing to improve thier staff. either by direct employment or by internships.

most grads would work in a multi national company or fortune 500 coy if given the opportunity (with or without pay) just to get the relevant experience

All these men claiming Nigerian graduates are unemployable are just I.D.I.O.T.S!
They are the ones who went to school on government schorlarship and got trained on the job. Now, as a result of the failure of their generation they are shifting the blame to the younger generation. Little BASTARDS!!!

We have thousands of Nigeria graduate with brilliant ideas but no government agencies or baks ready to listen to them and start them up with capital...if there is an agency of government or a special that is ready to listen to great ideas from Nigeria graduates and offer them a leap to start up...I bet you unemployment will ease off...all the SURE-P, YOU WIN, etc are political gimmicks...
