Beautiful photo. Nigerian military is hiding so many secret equipment, we have some of the most modern hardware in Africa and we are still buying more with billions of dollars this new year 2015. This is why I say nobody fully knows what Nigeria has!

you have fallen into my trap!!

You said it had superior situational awareness due to windows!!

But now you say that the windows are covered in combat!!

Badger has 360 day/night situation awareness... you do not! Your BTR crew will be peering through tiny slits with their naked eyes when in combat, while our crew will have complete awareness of everything around them in all weather conditions in day or night displayed on multiple screens inside the vehical!

BTR is trash. Carries less men, inferior armor, inferior troop carrying, inferior modularity, obsolete electronics, threadbare optics, inferior weapons systems. And you only have 5 of them!

In Ukraine, Sniper shots would take out your glorious all seeing sensors and then capture the troops. The BTR 4 went into combat and came back to fight another day.... seem like all South African military vehicles are for one time use just like condoms. tongue grin

Nigeria has the most sophisticated naval patrol fleet in Africa, whatever we cannot do, no other country can attempt it

no - you only have 5 until you can prove you have more.

The BTR-4 has modern electronics and is rated one of the world's best today in terms of modernization.

1. Show us where it says that
2. Tell us what it has: what systems, what electronics, what stabilization.

It has nothing, it is threadbare and barren as an old VW beetle.

Nope. Those windows will be covered in combat - when bullets are flying, you wont have time to hop in and out to keep opening and closing the hatches. Driver does not need situational awareness, he just needs to see infront of him, the commander is the one who needs to know what is going on.

Your gibberish about RPG's is so nonsensical that it isnt even worth a serious response. I ask you two question's: What is cover? What is concealment?

Finally, please, outline these magical 360 degree sensors you have on the BTR. Where are they? What are they? What systems does it have?

Reminder, Badger is:

- better armed
- longer ranged
- superior crew capacity
- better armored
- better optics and systems
- better comms
- better mine protection
- more modern (2006 BTR v 2015 Badger)

Soldiers are distinguished in combat not in qualification........ How many times would we prove that unless the Badger sees combat, it remains an untested prototype with fancy pictures... Because you copied the Patria's design does not mean it is in the same class. There is something called inferior metallurgy or inferior metals.

Thank you.

Don't even think lucky hit, a sniper can use a 2km range sniper rifle, anti-material rifle, or automatic grenade launcher to destroy that Badger camera as it is too exposed like the horn of a cow hanging on the top of the Badger just like that, sniper snipes it and Bagder goes blind, and no windows to back up visibility.

Bagder IFV is a bad design, I will score a cheap hit, don't even need any luck to sniper burst it's camera balls grin
.
the all seeing Badger eye stands like a beacon for sniper practice.

Did you see the barrel that house the atgm, it is a barrel that if anything shift or touches it. the missile will misfire, taking out its offensive capability. Patches stop comparing the Badger to the Bradley. The Bradley is battle tested and one of the best in its class if not the best.

No, you only have 3 Operational C-130's and 9 pilots for your Gripen.
At any given time 3 C-130s are available.

The Gripen is not an operational system. SAAF has more pilots.

In what world?

The MCT-30 can operate in sniper mode and able to destroy targets at 4KM.

The SANDF deploys groups. A mechanised infantry unit equipped with the Badger IFV will have different capabilities.

Thank God you said test and evaluation.
Remember: SA deploys {single use} systems.
BTW :the Badger wouldn't need smoke grenades as the engine puff out smoke in usable quantities. (Just trying to save you some Rands)
You could use the Rands I just saved you to train one pilot.

If the need was there, the badger can be taken to the battlefield.

Its ancestor. The Ratel-ZT3 was taken to the battlefield during development in its prototype form, 5 T-55(s) were killed at the Lomba river by one Ratel-ZT3.

If the need was there even the RG41 and Iklwa IFVs can be taken to the battlefield.

In 1991 the Bradley IFV with similar sensors(FLIR, Cameras etc) destroyed man vehicles.

Rosomak with similar sensors had insurgents running for their lives.

Different vehicles with different set of capabilities.

Mortar capability(indirect attack).
Missile capability(Anti-armour).
Gun capability(Fire support).
Infantry capability(Assault).

And more.

These vehicles deliver heavily armed troops in your back yard. Often supported by light armour(Rooikat).

Futile to attack vehicles when you infantry assaulting your position.

Yes, test and evaluation. Similar to the Gripens if the need arises they'll be deployed. This was the case with th Gripen when they were deployed out SA in 2013m

Maybe the random smoke puffing out of the Obsolescent Badger IFV engine has entered your nose into your brain, you don't need all those missiles and submarines to fight pirates, reason why South Africa is desperate to buy OPV now but no money.

SAN has NO single

• Stealth Combat Catamaran
• Stealth MPV
• Stealth OPV
• Ship with modern Solid state radar
• High spead ocean interceptor
• Flat hull swamp boat
• Long endurance ship with range to sail around Africa without refuelling
• War experience in large scale amphibious invasion and sea to land bombardment

All those options of weapons are available on BTR-4 if we want to mix versions.

BTR-4 also has Automatic Grenade Launchers.

Problem for your versions of Badger is that SANDF has NONE of them in service today....maybe dreams can come true for SANDF in year 2020....by then the Badger design is obsolete....Nation of fools, struggling to induct one IFV into service for 10 years now, nothing inside your armoury...NO Badger IFV....we proved SANDF has NO SINGLE Badger tonguetonguetongue

All those are irrelevant as they won't help Nigeria defend her waters against enemy combat vessels.

-No missiles.
-No surface capability.
-No sub-surface capability.
-No anti-submarine capability.

Basically your navy cannot fight. They are just a coast guard.
