When are we bringing back Nani? We need him. Like yesterday, we needed someone who could break a defender's waist with a twists and turns in the final 3rd, unfortunately we didn't have such a player. Januzaj lacks experience.

Young is ought for some weeks.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Caveatemptor(m): 4:10pm On Jan 02, 2015
Nani ain't coming back to United. He will probably be sold in the summer to build up the war chest for next seasons assault.
Same for lots of other fringe players .

Pogba is overrated.
Make no mistake about it, he's a very talented. Footballer, but I think people tend to go overboard when they talk about his abilities.

agree....70m is to much abeg when he isnt Ronaldo,Messi or Zlatan

NOBODY will pay £70m for Pogba, Juventus can deceive themselves all they like.

We still in the process of recovering from the troubles of having a loong list of squad players in the team... I dont buy the idea of adding to that list now... Wait till summer instead and get a top quality MF..we can survive and do a good job with the current midfield
do you know that a little tweak here & there to personnel can actually spur United on a title charge this season? or even just keep us in top 4 @ the end?

we have a good enough squad which need chemistry but that's almost impossible to get cuz a lot of players keep taking turns in the physio room. Carrick's return almost coincided with Blind's injury, Evans return coincided with Smalling's injury & vice versa, Young's return coincided with Shaw's injury & now vice versa, same with Valencia & Rafael, Herrera & Fellaini, etc...

the likely solution for this season maybe, is getting in more bodies if van Gaal really meant it when he said his sights are on the EPL trophy.

I think wat we need is a leader at d back(in d mold of vidic) n a defender with height dat can close aerial threats to our box n offer goal scoring chances when we attack n during set pieces ,we also need a new RB ,Rafael ain't reliable dis season

that was rooney's freekick!
i don't even know why we take freekicks close to the box. i can't remember the last time we scored from them with rooney monopolising every kick. van persie was a freekick specialist for arsenal - why did he stop taking them this season?

Our performance against Stoke City was shambolic that we were lucky to get a point out of Brittania stadium. I'd take that point afterall We weren't humiliated like Chelsea. Lol

Sights on the trophy?? Thats to make sure we aim for the moon and, at worse, land on the stars...

Getting a squad player is only acceptable if we are going to off-load the biscuit bone players we have as well... What happens if we "expand our squad" and all other players are fit; mediocres everywhere. Although LVG has shown he has the pedigree to get the best out of his players, we dont want a Man Utd overloaded with players youngsters like Perreira will comfortably keep out of the starting team.

I sincerely dont intend to start a Coogar-Elampiro esque argument...

I just dey pray say those in charge do wetin go benefit the club this January.

GGMU!

Matt hummels considering his options.

Matt hummels contemplating whether to join man united or arsenal. grin

For any sane person that decision is a no-brainer.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 11:16pm On Jan 02, 2015
* The only person who could take free kicks from 'Rooney's position' is Falcao. RVP and Mata take from the other end position- right side of the field.

* The stupidity in the free kick could be the style the players adopt where one player runs across the ball and the other takes it. It's too stereotype now.

* The stupid free kick could be ones the defenders gave away. Smalling gave away a certain free kick that was really stupid. Shortly after, Jones gave away a free kick. But that Smallings' own was senseless.

van Persie is only interested in being in the box always. we know he's the best corner-kick & far free-kick taker from the right side, why is he so unconcerned about it?

countless times, every corner-kick was left for di Maria alone which kept getting wasted from both flanks this season. peeps here pointed it out until Rooney resumed his duties from the left, van Persie resumed for just a short while & stopped. he should make himself available first, he's no new comer here.

Guys what's ur thought on LVG not leaving his seat from start to finish of our matches? SAF stood up sometimes to shout instructions to his players n motivate them with his " Fergie's time" tactics, is he dat too proud to stand up n talk to his players? sad

van persie should be taking our freekicks or mata. only when they are absent should rooney even step up. he's the worst freekick taker amongst them.

arsenal lost there few weeks ago. if you don't have many tall players, you are lunch for stoke. chelsea had matic, cahill, terry, ivanovic, mikel & costa to defend setpieces - we had too many short players on the pitch & few defenders who dunno their job.

seamus coleman should be signed asap. he would be a nice deputy for rafael(his fitness issue is a huge concern). we need a cover on the left side too.

Rooney was our best set piece taker last season. Even you attested to that. He scored goals and got assists from free kicks. Both Rooney and RVP were taking free kicks last season, but only Rooney was scoring from his own side, in the league. Mata took over from RVP.

Hope you are aware RVP and Mata can't take from the left side of our attack? Only Falcao and may be Young are substitute to Rooney on the left side of our attack.
