Compared to Nigeria's 130 million Nigerians who have never seen a light bulb being lit.

It is not even 130 million, it is way above that, well above 150 million. Nigeria has a population of 170 million, so in other words you are insinuating that Nigeria with only 4000 MW capacity produces electricity to more people than SA which has 45 000MW capacity.

READ - It clearly states it can withstand 8kg of TNT, meanwhile the BRT-4 is a death trap.

That is NOT body armour dude, that is chassis under belly against land mines which MRAPS are supposed to do, NOT IFV.

BTR-4 has ground clearance to reduce IED threat. How many IEDs will you meet in a modern day war when land mines have been largely banned? Only insurgents use them, and BTR-4 has protection from basic IED.

You don't need land mine to kill Badger IFV, just Boko Haram 12.7mm machine guns will cut into the Badger like my finger pierces butter cheesycheesy

All your 10 soldiers will d.ie inside the Badger when Bokos open fire with browning machine guns

Who cares, we have 11 NAF F-7 jet fighters, we need only 1 sink your Stealth frigate.

F-7 jet speed is as fast as Umkhonto missile, so we can waste all your anti-aircraft missiles, and rocket the SAN frigate after that. Simple
.[/size]

Debunked a million times..

- First your radar cannot find the stealth frigates

- Denel 35mm Dual Purpose Gun will tear all your dropped bombs from the older-than-my-mother jet.

- The frigate will then tear all your brown water coast guard

Denel NTW-20 can kill all crew and soldiers inside your Cold-War style BTR-4

BTR4 has a very thin skin which could be easily pierced with an anti armour rounds.

And yet, despite your petulant tantrum, production of the first batch of 236 starts this year.

Unlike Nigerias pathetic purchase of a paltry 5 units, we are placing a substantial order

Unlike Nigeria's off the shelf purchase of a vehical designed to operate in Europe, we have spent time and money adapting it to our conditions

Unlike Nigeria's off the shelf purchase, we will be making 70% of the vehical with south african technology, skills and equipment - a true marvel of African Engineering.

Patria is the master of African IFV's

Nigeria's BTR-4 current numbers are top secret, and more can be purchased as time goes on.

South African army has NO SINGLE Badger IFV in service today

Trolling fool

- Insurgents use TNT, they don't give a cow about international laws with banned weaponry

- Second the 12.7mm will never do harm to the Badger, the Taliban avoided the Rosomak because not even the 40mm RPG7 could damage it.

You are making allot of assertions and providing very little proof to substantiate your claims.

Your own photos clearly proved him right, Badger IFV design is bad, the 360 degree eye is full exposed to snipers who will blast it off.

Badger goes blind like a street beggar and IFV gets killed plus the 10 soldiers inside cheesycheesy

All of the 6th generation IFVs uses the same technology. BTR4 is still lagging behind with tech and is surely not on the same league with a Badger, Patria or Havoc as it is known in the US.

All bullsh!t aside think N.A.F made a great choice with this one, I can't wait to hear about how they perform in combat.

Was it done for free? NO
Can SANDF/SAAF afford a similar upgrade? NO

If Nigeria with approximately 22 Mi-35P (Plus 40 more ordered), upgrades its fleet because it can, how does it change the fact that SANDF/SAAF is broke and can't afford the same, coupled with the fact that the Rooivalk project is stalled.

Its just like me buying a Lamborghini and my neighbour who helped in fixing in some custom rims (which I paid for) sounding excited, what should the manufacturers do?

So whats your point exactly?

First. You don't use it because you are stuck with Rooivalk

Second. Picture this:

11 Rooivalk vs 22 Hinds.

The hinds would be using your pilots as target practice, meanwhile no Grippen pilots to help out(They are still in training, should be ready in 20 years time). The available pilots have no experience of real wars.

Third. Higher budget doesn't mean better capability, $40million for Rooivalk? Are your frigging kidding me!!!
When I can get:
- A faster Hind for $12 million
- A JF-17 Thunder $20 million
and still have $8 million for armaments.

Please don't make me laugh.

Yep, because Rooivalk is stealth and hind is not. Rooivalk will notice your hind long before your hind can ever notice Rooivalk was there and by then, Boooooom!!! there goes Hind in a ball of fire.
